For some reason I can't upload the pics, but I got it today and already balled 3 skeins of worsted weight yarn, each one was 218 yards long and they came out beautifully! It's compact, easy to store and assemble and works beautifully! The winder alone is worth the money and then there's the pom pom makers, the scissors, stitch markers and darning needles, definitely a sweet deal.

Was easy to assemble but my threader piece does not stay in place during the winding process. The yarn cakes are on the smaller side. Other than that its worth the price.

It gets the job done but it's frustrating. At the same time. The control arm absolutely will not stay up my son, thankfully figured out this cure as in the picture with using a regular refrigerator clip and sliding it down the arm and help lock it in place. But it comes loose off of the table and the control arm was a constant battle but seems to be better now that we use this clip on it. All in all it's very cheaply made and not a great value. I am keeping it just since it came with the other accessories etc and it at least gets the job done for now.

I really like this Ball Winder, and the accessories it came with are great for the money. The seller was well within the time limit set for delivery. The only thing I need is a larger spool for the winder. I am combining different ends of balls and skeins of yarn for future projects so I don't have fifty bazillion parts of skeins literally rolling around, and the spool of the winder just isn't big enough; other than that, it is perfect!

So, it wasn't very expensive, so I wasn't expecting it to be flawless, but I was extremely disappointed in what I received. I rated ease of use a 1 because, while the instructions are pretty easy and/or obvious, the yarn arm is janky and won't stay in place so there is no "ease" when using. It's clunky, and you HAVE to attach it to a table or hold it. Not to mention, the table has to be extremely thin to boot. I rated value for money because it functionally doesn't do the thing it's supposed to do well, so the value is low. And lastly, I did grant a 4/5 for ease of assembly because it's literally 1 part to attach, but I is still extremely clunky and awkward. Buy a slightly more expensive one. This one isn't worth the trouble. I could have hand-wound a yarn ball in the time it's taken me to wind 20 feet on this one.

This works great, could be amazing with a few small improvement. Rubber grippers on the clamping surfaces would be helpful, an easier to grip knob for tightening the clamp, and the arm that holds the yarn doesn't lock in place very well. As for those who said it doesn't make the nice criss cross pattern, as you can see when used correctly it does. I'm assuming their error is in the direction they're spinning, one way tightens and the other loosens. I've made at least 10 balls of yarn with this already with no major issue.

I love finally being able to wind my yarn into cakes properly it works very well and quickly. Only downside is that it’s too small for my bigger yarn skeins but it does great for my normal sized skeins and I just make more balls out of the big skeins. Also super happy it comes with all the little tools now I have doubles when I lose something!

I am in the process of returning this item. The yarn feeder would not stay in place and kept flopping down. The ball of yarn I was trying to wind was 100grm and I think it would have been a struggle to hold that much on the spool. I never got that far because of the feeder, but the yarn was ending up winding around the shaft of the machine. I do still want one of these machines but the Chinese ones, in the pictures, all look like they come from the same factory, so I will have to do some more research before I choose one.

Love this piece, great addition to my knitting needs. It only does small balls of yarn, can't do a full 198g ball of yarn.

The yarn guide doesn’t stay in place, also the yarn gets wrapped around the workings, I dare say if I had a couple more hands to use it may have worked ! Returned for refund !!
