If you put the pieces together where’s that are designed to go, works well. The guiding arm/wire was a bit off at first and the winding did not work as well. This winder is not for a large amount of yarn.

This yarn winder is fabulous! Easy and fun to use. This little device makes the best yarn cakes w/o stretching the yarn. I highly recommend this product.

I purchased this item for my 12 year old great niece! She figured out how to set it up and operate it all by herself! It wound her yarn into nice balls that weren’t too tight or too loose! She loves it! Adults and advanced knitters/crocheters might prefer an electric yarn winder over this manual one, but for beginners and those younger, this is perfect! Exceeded my expectations!

I got this yarn winder for Christmas. I used it several times and it worked great. But after less than six weeks of use, I tried to attach it to my table again, and it won't stay on, making the yarn winder useless. I sent the Speensun company an email three days ago, asking for a replacement. So far I have heard nothing from them. Their brochure says they offer a 180-day warranty, so I am hoping they reply soon to my email.

Got it today. Of course, tried it as soon as I could. So easy to set up and use. Pretty solid too. Definitely will be a time saver! Pleased.

Good idea to use up leftover yarn. Took a bit to find out how to use it. But after I figured it out it was great.

This works so fast and required a lot less effort than winding a yarn ball by hand. The machine spins so smoothly and you barely have to put strength into spinning the handle, it's very easy to operate. There is a limit to how big the yarn ball can be though, so that's the downside compared to hand winding.
