Step 1: Lift left side checkbook compartment
Lift the checkbook compartment with your thumb and index finger and separate the individual checks from the back cover of the checkbook.
Step 2: Slide checkbook into compartment
Slide the back cover of your checkbook under compartment and also under the clear plastic divider used to separate checks not being used from the check currently being filled out.
Step 3: Lift built-in clear plastic divider
Step 4: Use plastic divider to separate checks
Step 5: Lift right side register compartment
Step 6: Slide transaction register into compartment

I got this for my very first checkbook. It fits both of them, my register, and my pen! The elastic keeps it closed and secure. I love the plastic cover to prevent writing through onto the next check. It feels close enough to leather and I love the gold detailing. It looks just like the photos

Love it. It's been a long time since I've needed a checkbook but I really like this one. It's simple & to the point. I already have a wallet that I like so I didn't want one with card slots like a lot of them have. This is perfect. I can't speak to quality & longevity yet but so far so good. My only complaint is that none of my pens fit in the pen holder. I had to clip it to the outside. It works out though.

I really love this, and I'm so happy that I chose this celestial one, it's really lovely. I chose the gold though I was tempted by the copper one. This checkbook cover is a really nice quality, slender yet fits both my check book and register. I love the band that goes around it to keep it closed. I don't use the pen holder... with both checks and register, it really didn't fit well for my personal needs but that's not an issue with me. If you're thinking about it, just buy it!!

It's a cute design. There is some foam inside to add as cushion, which is nice. Having the outside strap is very helpful so you don't have to worry about the checkbook or any other pieces of paper falling out, and it keeps everything together.One downside is that the pen can fit in the center, but if you try to close it with the checkbook inside, it's too bulky to close. I ended up sticking the pen on the plastic flip sheet.Overall, it looks nice, sturdy, and it does what it needs to do.
