I may be easily impressed since this is my first espresso machine but after 2 days and many operations, this espresso machine has been a great purchase. I'm a long-time STRONG coffee drinker and love cafe espresso but never really considered a machine for our tight counter space, because we already have a dual mode Kuerig (that I LOVE). But from the very first double-shot pressing, I'm totally in love with this little machine. It may not be perfect but everything on the unit fits well and cleanly. The shiny metal cladding over the plastic body looks nice and more substantial than it probably really is. Not bad though for this price range I guess. Some of this machine's great crema volume and taste is a function of the freshness of the fine grind but the pressure of this machine ensures each shot has a full, foamy head that lasts longer than it takes to drink it. No idea yet about the durability but so far seems like it may hold up ok. I did buy the extended warranty just in case given that other buyers posted problems with this model.Priming the pump took some creativity that was not inspired by the modest instruction manual. After multiple attempts to prime the pump per the instructions, I ended up pulling the tank and using a measuring cup to slowly dribble water into the valve on the body that the tank feeds, while turning the steam knob on and off to get to draw the water in. Seems to have had a vacuum that it couldn't break with the tank installed. After that work around, it has been perfect.The included tamp tool is plastic and flemsy, especially considering the quality feel of the filter cups and handle, as well as the fit and feel of the rest of the machine. A metal tamp tool would have been a very nice way to round this one off.Since this is my first machine like this, this is probably more the norm but the sound and vibration of the pump seems a little much. This is probably because of the small mass of overall machine. After the initial priming, it is better of course but still may be more than a higher-price-point machine. Vibrations at times are enough to cause your cup to dance sideways on the tray as it is being filled. Not a huge problem but something to monitor.PROS:* The footprint is good for the small amount of space we had available.* The functions are clear, understandable and easy to use.* Operation is simple and almost fool proof.* High pressure extracts tons of flavor for the cuban-style espresso off-the-shelf grinds I have tried* Output for both single and double shot measures accurately* The volume of crema is wonderful.* The overall build quality is good.* Durability may be good based on first impressions but remains to be seen.* Steam function does a great job and is easy to use safely.CONS:* Initial Use pump priming took more effort than the instructions would lead you to believe.* Accessory tamp not the most robust.* Sound and vibrations may be more than might be expectedIn summary, this seems to be a great starter espresso machine and I love the quality of the drink it produces. There are some small cons but nothing that out weighs the pros for sure. The long-term durability of the machine is unknown yet so it may not hold up to my expected frequent use but based on other reviewers, it may hold up OK over time. For me, if it lasts at least a year with daily use, I would not hesitate to purchase this same model again.

When this machine came it was so attractive on our small counter space! Unfortunately after several attempts to create an espresso the steam handle never came up to correct temperature and all was like warm. Watched videos of troubleshooting to no avail. Very disappointed .Cleaned it up, boxed it up and sent it back.

Love it- for the price point I haven't found better & the profile is great for small counter.

This espresso maker works good. I have been using it for more than a month making my own espresso everyday. The only thing I did not like is that there is a plastic piece inside the portafilter. I had to make my own modification to remove the plastic piece. Other than that I like the espresso maker.

I don't like is it takes quite a while to heat up.easy to clean.wish I would of gotten a bigger more expensive machine.
