I was needing a cordless phone to put into a restaurant for online curbside pickup for customers to call in and notify the employee running orders they had arrived. I was initially going to go with the cheaper standard yealink, but the one that is already at this restaurant has been put through the ringer (dropped in a mop bucket, dropped a few other times, etc.) I needed something that was going to work 100% of the time. This phone fit the bill. Very high quality feel and they've thought through and solved a lot of issues we've had with the other phones.

We started putting these in our Restaurants, because that's was the "R" in the name stands for according to Yealink. So far they've faired mostly well, but one failed on the first drop test. Screen went blank and would not work again. The phone still worked, but you just can't see the screen any more. Restaurants are deadly to electronics, and glad to see Yealink recognizing this. They do need to step it up a bit more though and ruggedize them a little more.

TWO different handsets from this phone system began breaking down after a few months. We waited, stupidly, to contact anyone about. The battery is not great--so know that--but more importantly, the build quality of this "rugged" phone is anything but rugged. Yealink confirmed it is a hardware issue and referred us back to Amazon for help. The Amazon representative did what all telephone representatives do--read from a script, telling us it is out of warranty so there is nothing they can do. Just shy of $600 for two phones and a base! The battery doors can't be opened (everyone in the office has tried--they are both jammed shut) so there is nothing we can do about the battery life. Basically, we do not recommend this item nor do we recommend buying this type of device from Amazon--they have really lost their sense of responsibility to the customer (and the planet). We have no idea what the next best choice is (it has to work with Nextiva--a VOIP phone service), but we do know--this ain't it!

This company sent a handset that only works in Europe, They tried to tell us that the handset would work in the US. I contacted Yealink, Yealink said the handset will not work with the US radio Frequencies. Do not do business with tis company

My boss asked me to get him a cordless phone for our VOIP system. I contacted our carrier and holy mother of outrageous phone prices later!!! The nice representative from our carrier actually called me and said, "This is off the record, but you can buy these phones on Amazon." Well, slap some butter on me and call me Biscuit!!! Now he was talking my price point!!I didn't even have to really research the phones on Amazon, because nice dude from our VOIP carrier gave me the exact model model number and reminded me that I needed a base station as well and guess what!!! He gave me that model number as well!!!It was not plug and play, but very close. All I had to do was add the phone to our account via our master settings and VOILA, the boss walks and talks!!!

Call quality is as good as it gets. Battery life is pretty good. Despite being ruggedized, the screen is easily scratched. Would have been good if the screen was protected or made of a more robust material. The screen size is on the small size and options to increase the font size would have made this easier to use.
