Among many cases I saw, I got confused, and mistakenly I bought this one thinking it was also for sax reeds only to find out later that the tenor reeds were too long to be placed vertically.Although I could have returned it through my Prime membership, I felt it was my mistake and didn't want to be unfair. Instead, I came up with a solution that could benefit others who may have found themselves in a similar situation.Btw, mine at least didn't smell that bad like others said. It's just new. However, if yours smells that bad, keep it open to air out for a few days and it should be fine.It also seals just fine and reeds don't move inside. It has two tiny holes on the side for breathing.Even though it can be carried inside the pocket of your case ( and if it’s a long one much better ) my main idea was to keep it at home for the many Vandoren/Rico plastic reed holders I want to recycle.Either way, when I go to perform, I only take a few of my best reeds with me, and for that, I have a smaller case.Regardless if you're gonna double on different saxes this case will do the job. Please watch the photos ( no rocket science here LOL :)Tip> Reeds were placed back-to-back to protect the tips. Thanks

I got this box for temporary storage while soaking, then drying and adjusting reeds. Mine did not smell bad. It looks very nice, seems well made, and has a reliable magnetic closure. The lid has a velvety interior with a slightly thicker bar to hold the reeds gently in place. I was hoping for real “glass pane†as the description states, but it is actually a plexiglass sheet. Still, the box functions well for my use, so I am keeping it for now.

This reed case felt a little too large and kind of bulky for my needs so I wanted to return it on that basis. But the reed box feels very synthetic and has a strong chemical smell--like nail polish--which makes me afraid to put my wood reeds in here. It feels like there's a chemical product my wood reeds might absorb and then I put these reeds in my mouth which is kind of scary. I'm going to go with a different product for these reasons.

Good reed case for the money. Best to let air out for a few days before use. Strong solvent smell from adhesive upon unpacking which dissipated with time.

Good case. But smell bad and magnet is a bit strong. Not glass surface.
