Yongnuo YN-E3-RT II Speedlight Transmitter is compatible with the Canon 600EX-RT flash unit and ST-E3-RT transmitter, it provides practically all the features of the original Canon ST-E3-RT, plus a number of important extra features, these include a built in AF assist light, 2nd Curtain Sync (Only in M mode), USB port for firmware upgrade, and added range to 100 Meters.

I owned the first generation of this trigger which had an annoying problem of draining the batteries when the power switch was off. I worked around this by always storing the batteries out of the trigger. This new version II trigger does not drain the batteries when powered off. I also prefer the new screen layout. The first version screen layout was a direct copy of the Canon trigger. I find the new layout less cluttered and easier to navigate.

This thing is almost identical to Canon’s remote at a fraction of the price. I can’t say anything about its durability, as I haven’t owned it very long, but so far, it’s been perfect.

[Note: this is not Yongnuo's fault, but Canon's for having an AWFUL radio frequency design. But when YN copies Canon's design, they end up copying the flaws with it as a result.]I know others have said it, but the Canon radio communication protocol is just poorly designed. It is far too susceptible to interference from basically any 2.4GHz Wifi or Bluetooth signal. It's a shame, since the system works perfectly when it actually stays connected. When this happens, you have to power cycle EVERY SINGLE flash unit. Which means if you are setting them up for a portrait or product session, you look like a moron having to constantly run around and reset them every few minutes.Of course, it only stays connected for a few minutes at best. I had a few tries where it literally disconnected within 1 minute of powering on the unit and the flashes. I am also having to return 2 Canon EL-5 flashes I got new on sale, because even using the EL-5 on the camera, the disconnects happen. Really, really disappointed in the Canon wireless flash system. I guess I'll move to Godox like everyone else.

Ich hatte am Anfang Probleme es mit dem Blitz zu verbinden. Uns hat man in der Berufsschule immer gesagt wir sollen die Finger von der Codierung lassen. Aber letztendlich habe ich es doch gewagt, dort zu gucken weil sonst alles gepasst hat. Und tatsächlich war mein Blitz nicht auf 0000 codiert. :D Habe es umgestellt und jetzt funktioniert es einwandfrei :)

Perfectamente operativo con mis speedlite 430 rt iii de canon. La rueda de control del transmisor podria tener algo mas de relieve para manejarla mas facilmente.

Great product and easy to use with my Canon R10. It's so easy to control the two flash units I have (one a Canon). Don't know why I didn't get something like this a long time ago.
