Simple butt joints often do not provide the necessary strength for common scenarios. Biscuit joints provide added glue surface and extra structural strength where the biscuits are inserted and glued. Even if you don't own a biscuit joiner, you can produce accurate joints with our biscuit joint slot cutting router bits. Select the desired bit based on the biscuit size you wish to use (#0, #10 or #20).

Easy to use on board edges and ends.Works perfectly, if you only have a few biscuit grooves to make, use this with your router instead of buying a biscuit cutter.

You dont want to spend cash on a "unitasker" like a biscuit jointer ? Then you add this bit to your router collection. This can do biscuit cuts and of course, also long cuts for splines. It is very sharp, and doesn't have any quality issues. There is one little thing I think would be better: the shaft could still be about 1/2 to 1 inch longer. Yes, it did the job well but my handheld router has collet opening too small so I had to fuss around in order to secure the bit when the router is on the router table. In all cases, it works like a charm.Recommended? Absolutely YES !

I did not give a durability rating because I have not used the bit a lot. It does seem to be good quality rotor bit. I have used it to make biscuit slots and the bit has done a good job. This is new skill for me. You do not know what you can do until you try. I would recommend this rotor bit and it costs less than other places for the same thing.

Of course it is not a full size push in and back out to cut for the biscuit, but this is for a router for occasional joining of different size biscuits. I quickly made a small cheap wooden jig that clamps on to the piece I am joining and guides my router to cut in and a very short distance out making a slot of the appropriate size. The biscuits I used were Dewalt and they pushed in with my thumb. The glue causes the compression of the biscuit to swell and take up the minor space that exists to allow fitting the biscuit. Not as perfect as buying an expensive dedicated machine, but $20 vs a couple of hundred?
