I don't do a lot of rivnuts, but this has come in so handy when I needed it. I used to use one of the plier type tools, which was great until I ran into some rivnuts at the end of its capacity. It was so hard to use. This one seems to do well, even at the upper end of it's range. I am not sure how many 1/4-20s I would trust it with, but you never know until it breaks I guess. It sure beats putting a clamp around the handle of the more manual version!

I have used this about 5 times now and it works perfectly. I work on cars and decided to give this tool a shot and didn’t know what to expect and I was definitely pleased with the outcome. I have used it on my personal vehicles and on clients cars and it got me out of unfortunate situations that’s would have been even more difficult. It’s built nicely and the storage box is really nice to keep everything organized. Definitely worth the money on this tool

I have been installing rivnuts the old fashion way for a few years, either the nut bolt 2 wrench method or the big 2 handle method. I saw this and got very excited. It's easy to operate and the rivnut installers are easy to switch out on the head.Started with smaller sizes and it worked fabulous.Moved to larger sizes and that's where the issues started. On the bigger sizes it would start but once the pressure got higher, it would either strip out the rivnut or it would freeze and try and twist the drill out of my hands with the torque it was putting out.Not very good. But for the smaller sizes it's pretty awesome and I'll keep it and use just for those sizes and saving a lot of time.

Better then a conventional Rivet Nut tool, smaller and more compact. This can be used with any cordless impact, drill, or anything able to take a 1/4" shank or socket. I will say this is very easy to overtighten or even damage a rivet nut or nut sert. It does make quick work of installing these specialty things, as well as coming with a wide selection of inserts with the kit. The amount of various size threads and what not, this is a wonderful kit for a jobsite, or even a home use addition. I have used this numerous times as a mechanic in the daily grind, and have not had 1 issue thus far. Would buy again in the need or as a replacement.

I finally got to use this to perform some modifications on my truck. So far I've only used two different sizes and I didn't experience any issues at all. The tool was simple to use and performed as expected. I do have a concern due to a number of reviews indicating that the tool broke for those users however that concern for me is somewhat diminished since the seller purports to offer a lifetime warranty. I love the variety of available mandrels, how compact the tool itself is and that I can use it with a drill.

Standout Fetaures/Likes:• Large range of mandrel sizes• Nice quality case holds the tool and mandrels securely.• Makes the hard part of starting rivet nuts straight super easyDid the Item Meet the Advert Description: (Yes, No)YES - for what I feel its for - non-commercial use.Is it a commercial quality tool that would hold up long term if used in a professional field? No Its not.Great for the home mechanic or light shop professional use.Value Per Dollar: (Excellent, Good, Average, Poor)Excellent - based on the general quality of the tool and the large range of include mandrels & the price point. My Use Case:After seeing some of the other reviews I was concerned that it may not be of good quality - I'm glad I took a chance as it's great for what I feel it's intended for.A few tips on use based on my experience.• Remove the steel hex plunger and lube with anti-seise - the steel plunger rides inside the aluminum body so lubing this part will help keep it from binding and/or sticking.• I use the tool to start and bring the rivet nut to almost full seat with a torque limited drill then finish the finial seating by hand with a 1/4 drive wrench.Disclosure:This item was provided to me via the Vine program free of charge with the exception of the MSRP tax value. This functions how it should, just as long as you're not over working it. It's a helpful tool to have on hand, but doesn't have the strongest capabilities.
