Followed the instructions and it failed to work. Disappointed.

It was fun to put together, but the projectile only moved a couple of mm's. I rechecked all of my solder joints and polarities, but nothing improved. It was a let down for sure. Also, as others have reported, 5 wires are required but only 4 are included. Either BYOW or cut one of these.

The product comes with 4 tinned wires, but the instructions require you to connect a total of 5 tinned wires (one between coil and light toggle, one from light touch to spot KB on board, one from coil to spot B on board, one from center post of toggle to one K spot on board next to battery case, and one from one of the two remaining toggle posts to the other K spot on the board). I am missing that last tinned wire, could I get that?

I made this with a friend, I think it might have been easier as a one-person project, since he lost some parts and we had to improvise

This makes an awesome present for older kids and teens who want to move beyond lego sets and really start to learn skills that will be useful in life. This kit is a great introduction. It's not too hard or too easy and is a lot of fun.

My son assembled everything fine, and enjoyed it. But he figured he did something wrong because it was so weak the projectile doesn't make it out of the tube. Totally not worth it.
