What can I say, the title says it all. I can get into everything everyone else has said, but why. Its great, it works well, food is awesome. I bought the insulation kit as well, and I ise it, even when its snowing. My only complaint it the cover it comes with barely fits, and anf its not because of the blanket. It seems like that was taken into consideration. It sits oddly on the pellet box, and in less than a year, its shredded in those corners. The material has faded, gotten brittle, and tears somewhere else whenever its removed now. Look into getting a good cover for it after you use it for a few months.Other than that, the thing is exactly what I wanted.

Easy to assemble, easy use keypad, gets to temp quickly, holds temperature well, nothing to dislike.

This is a great way to break into pellet grills. Works well and the results are perfect Everytime. I would recommend a wireless meat thermometer for convenience but I have zero regrets getting this grill!

I got this 450A Z Grills Thermal Cover for a steal from the Amazon warehouse and it fits our Pioneer 450B Z Grills perfectly. It does a great job of helping the grill to retain heat when we have cold weather and it’s made very well. I’m extremely satisfied with my purchase.

Assembly was about an hour with a couple beer breaks, and the instructions were easy to follow even after the beer breaks. I have an offset smoker that I'm just too lazy to fire up most nights and this is my first pellet grill. It's a total game changer. I'm much more likely to use this, plus I love being able to do overnight cooking, something which is obviously much harder with a wood fired smoker. I did buy a smoke tube for that extra smoke, but I'm not sure if it's totally necessary. In smoke mode, this grill does produce a good amount of visible smoke.

I got this grill for Christmas as a replacement for a Zgrill 700 that I had since about 2016 and wore out from use. I had one issue with my first one, and the support was terrific. This new one has been nothing but an issue. The first issue was that the wrong parts came from the factory, but it was only the cabinet door handle, so it was not a huge issue. Second, the grill cover had no string and clasp to sinch it down. Third, when I was doing the first break-in fire, the grill's actual temperature displayed 30 and never changed unless you flicked the thermoprobe, and then it would jump to 70 and back to 30. It would trip the low-temperature alarm and not complete the burn-in.I called support, and they sent me a new probe and handle. (One thing I must note is that the person on the phone didn’t seem to have much knowledge of the product. It sounded like he was reading a flip chart.) The handle they sent was correct and easily replaced. I replaced the probe, and it appeared to correct the temperature issue.I did the first burn as instructed, but when setting the grill knob to high, the knob broke off in my hand! It looks like the grip had no adhesive or anything. I emailed support a week ago and haven’t received an answer.Today, I decided to cook some burgers and use the grill for the first time. Like hundreds of times before on my old grill, I set it to smoke with the lid open, waited for smoke to start, closed the lid, and set it to high. After waiting 30 min, the “Actual temp†read 410*F. I tossed on my burgers and started to wait for 10 min. I got distracted, so it was more than 20 min when I first checked the meat. The meat was barely cooked! I grabbed my ThermoPro thermometer and set it up inside the grill. I waited another 20 minutes to let the probe catch up. It read only 281 when the grill said it was 410*F!!! No wonder the meat was still blue!I have sent another email to Zgrill support, hoping they will reply soon. I plan on calling them this Monday when they are open. It appears equipment quality and tech support have gone way down. I’m not happy at all and highly disappointed. I might ask for a refund if I can’t get this resolved.

So I have used this for 6 months. I have smoked pork butt, ribs, brisket and salmon. It does great for pork butt and brisket. The ribs and salmon were dry but that might be my fault. I don’t get as great of smoke rings as my brothers bigger z grill or my buddies vertical pit boss. Im still happy because it’s super easy to set and walk away and not so big that it takes up my whole patio. The larger hopper is nice when compared to some other smaller smokers. I have done an overnight without having to refill it (went 10pm to 6 am). I did buy the insulating pad because it helps with keeping the temp more even and saves pellets. It also seemed to help when I was smoking in 40 degree weather. I tried to do a large brisket and does seem to be hotter near the smoke stack than the other end and I had to flip it. I have tried two meats and seems the right side cooks faster so now I just do one butt or one brisket at a time. I would say a vertical smoker is the way to go if you plan on doing large meats or multiples. All and all, it was less expensive than the traeger but the same as a vertical Pitt boss from lows. I thought I would use it to grill too but it’s too hard to clean so I still use my regular grill.

I have a Traeger lil’Texas Elite, an older, durable model that was made back in the day. It is a great smoker with no issues; it’s a work horse. This Z Grill has all the features that you say that would be nice to have, and it comes at an affordable priceThe features I like are the bigger wheels for rolling and moving it around. The clean out feature is nice, as is the TWO built in thermometers. The cabinet is substantial and not flimsy. The materials and build quality are very good. All parts matched up to all the pre-drilled holes. The firebox is reinforced, the auger and the firebox are very substantial.I anticipate many years of enjoying this smokerIt took me about an hour to assemble the smoker.
