I purchased this filter for a Canon RF 24-105mm f4 lens. Between the lens and the filter, I get excellent photo quality from my Canon R7.I liked this filter enough to purchase another for my new Canon RF 14-35mm f4 lens. I have not taken any "real" photos with this combination yet -- just test photos around my house. The image quality from those test photos looks excellent and I expect that quality to extend into the field.

Why spend all the money on a Zeiss lens just to throw a cheap filter on it? These are some of the best I’ve used. I have a UV filter on all my Loxia and Batis lenses as a a bit of protection in case something drops or hits the glass. Rather damage a $90 filter than my $1000+ lenses.

I bought the filter to reduce UV haze and to protect the front lens of my Sony SAL1685Z and SAL70300G lenses when taking outdoor shots. It's easy to mount the filter and it does the job without degrading picture quality. I'm satisfied with the quality, but I haven't compared it with other UV-filters. So I can't say if other products will give the same excellent picture quality for a lower price, or how much you have to compromise on picture quality.

Zeiss quality at Zeiss price. Sure you could get a cheaper one but when it comes to protecting my lens from debris and damage I won’t compromise for cost. I want something quality that will last and take a hit. Zeiss is it.
