600W is good power. This unit is hot and works very well. Clean freeze-plug hole well, and polish w emory cloth. Use silicon lubricant on both o-rings of heater. If you over-tighten the threads will strip and the unit will leak.Will require a non-destructive tap to seat into block.Pair with an electrical outlet timer to operate heater 3hrs before starting.

Installed in my WJ 4.7 very easily. Look to your factory service manual (or google) to find the clock orientation for the heater element, it's very important, and the directions included did not address my engine.

The block heater works great. It's so nice to get into a warm vehicle when the temps are below zero.

The first one wouldn't seal. I replaced the gasket and yes: It was in the correct frost plug location. I bought the exact same product locally and that one sealed and is on the truck right now.Unfortunately I'm outside of my return window for this one.The point? Make sure you tackle this project and that your element seals (add some gasket sealer to help) before the return window closes.

Has the right amount of wattage for the engine, and gets it warm, but only worked twice before crapping out, now it’s just a dangly bit zip tied to my trans lines
