Used on my 2008 Grand Prix, put loom wire near the motor to protect the cord. Great fit, would recommend. On side note, don't forget to unplug before leaving which is why I ordered an all new cord.

Mine went on a 2015 Sierra 4wd. I could have given this a 1 star but i did not because it work's when installed. The problem being the cord doe's not come with the retaining clip to hold it to the actual block heater. That was the worst part. Trying to get old clip off without breaking it since new cord don't come with it. If it had come with it the tab's on the retaining clip could have been cut off and made life easier getting old cord off. Instead saved old clip. When off pickup took small cut off wheel and put slit on side of clip so it could be slid over cord and reused. Cord could also be a little longer. No extra cord.

Original cord was fraying around the plug. This cord fit perfectly, and was an ideal replacement for the original, and way cheaper than OEM. It was pretty easy to install, as I could reach the block heater from underneath my truck. I routed the cable down and out by the front tow hook. I also put 3/8" wiring conduit over the entire cord to protect the it.

I guess it’s ok, but I had to cut the locking ring off the old cord and make it fit on this one.Why it doesn’t include this piece is a mystery as it’s really necessary and cannot be added without cutting the ring with a grinder and making it not as strong/secure as it was.
