These are replacement lights for my Zilla fixtures. I have never had a problem with any Zilla product. The price is very reasonable as well.

When I bought this at the store (this was the only one available with the lamp and bulb) thinking i bought a good uvb product, and it was expensive. This has a plastic covering the uvb bulb, and if you know anything about uvb. . . it cannot pass through plastic or glass. Then how is it a uvb lamp which is supposed to be the best interest of your reptile have a hard plastic covering the bulb? Also it's not even removable. You have to break the plastic to get the uvb rays to your animal. With that being said, it worked for a while even though I had to tear the plastic off. . . when we finally replaced the bulb, all it did was flicker and not work. Was a waste of money, and overall unsafe for my reptiles. Horrible product, I recommend Arcadia or Reptisun for the best uvb output, and funtionality.

This uv light is a third of the price of what I've been paying at the pet store for my Bearded Dragon. He's an elderly guy, but since changing to this bulb, he has an appetite like no other, he's climbing again, and seems like his much younger self. He's not self propelling out of his viv into my arms anymore, but he is living his best life. He no longer has foul smelling watery stool, which has been a problem since I rescued him. I change his light about every six months but this is the first time I've used this brand. I didn't uv test either brand of bulbs, but I can say with confidence that I have Zilla to thank for these immediate changes that have given my old dude a new lease on life. Gone is my sleepy grumpy guts, back is my playful and curious best friend!

Awesome product. For those who had it burn out after a day or two, when you first turn it on, it may have some erratic lighting effects in tube. after a few seconds, turn it off and back on and it should work fine. Leaving it on with the erratic charge up will kill the Element in it due to uneven heating. on its first use turn it on for about 20 seconds then off for a minute, then its should restart normally and last a long time. This Bulb is extremely bright and very strong. I sat close by it while testing it for about 3 hours and my legs got sunburned.. and unlike UVA, UVB burns go much deeper in the skin due to it being a shorter wavelength.. and you will feel it in your muscles for days. I swear, one could use two of these as a Tanning bed!! No Joke.

Only leaving 3 stars because this bulb burnt out after only 5 months. Otherwise it worked great, I used it for a bearded dragon. They are supposed to be replaced every 9 months or so anyway so I may buy another one. Would have been nice if it made it closer to 9 months for me.
