my bettas love hiding in it and resting in it. it’s surprisingly large for the mini, but perfect for my 10 gal. the only thing i wish was that it didn’t float all around my tank, but that could js be the filter flow causing it. it’s super cute and affordable for what it’s worth, as well as being built great :)

If this is the mini version, I can't imagine how large the bigger version is. It's the perfect size for my son's betta fish though and he loves to swim through it and rest in it. I've caught him making several bubble nests in it. It does have a large hole in the top so you can look down and see the fish inside, but it's a downside for the fish because it lets so much light in that it's probably not too nice to sleep in when the aquarium lights are on. Make sure you give it a good scrub under running water before using because some of the paint(?) does flake off. I recommend a clean toothbrush. It has rounded edges, so it didn't require any sanding to make it safe for use.

Upon receiving the "log cabin" I rinsed it thoroughly and kept it in a tub of water over night, I rinsed in again in late morning and put it in the tank around noon. (This is good standard aquarium practice plus there was a very very slight plasticky odor, I couldn't really smell it but other reviewers mentioned it, so a very thoroughly rinsing was a good idea to wash off some of the newness -just in case).It took all of 30 seconds for "Master Betta" to explore his new home! He looks super cute swimming through it and it provides a nice dark spot for him to feel safe and to relax. This is a great price for this product, buying fish tank add-ons in pet stores are so overpriced. This floating log is great, and the open top to drop in snacks is a nice perk.I tied hemp twine through the roof hole and tied it to a suction cup so it would stay in place and not float around the surface of the tank (which it will do if you have any current). I added fake plants to disguise the string and suction cup.A great addition to the tank for sure! I might even buy him another one! :)

My betta loves this. She loves hanging out in here feeling safe and tucked away from view. It works as it says it will. Floats in of the water with a little hole in top so a betta can get air.However, when I first got this product I was pretty unhappy as it smelled heavily of chemicals. I washed it well with water and soaked it in a bucket of salt water. When I came back to it there was a ton of the black paint floating in the water, that had come off of the log. I was not happy about the copious amount of smelly paint they used on this item. It still smelled very strongly and I didn’t not want to put it in my tank. I set it on a shelf for a few weeks thinking I’d give it away one day. On chance I picked it up- smelled it and noticed the smell had completely gone away.So then I put it in my bettas tank and she was very happy.So bottom line- it definitely needs to air out. It would be much better if they didn’t use the type of paint they are currently using.

This is the perfect size little floating log for my precious beta. Louie loves to swim through it and hide in it and peek out and it's so fun for it to watch him having fun! It looks beautiful in my aquarium and it's extremely easy to clean. It's a great price as well compared to pet stores!

It's bigger than I thought but works for my 10 gal tank just fine. My Betta LOVES it! It's his new favorite hiding place. He wasn't much of a "hider," too nosey, but he loves sitting in it and swimming in and out all day. It floats around the tank, there's a hole at the top for him to breathe if he want to hang out in it for a while.

My Betta Pea avoided it like it was evil 😂. That in itself is not the problem though. (I'm finding many things are trial and error with betta fish). It was the wrong size and much too big for my little tank. It didn't come in a box like it was supposed to it just had a tag clipped on.And I don't like to make the accusation but my Betta got ICH! Anybody who knows anything about that knows that in order to contract that a biologic has to be introduced into the tank. Since she is the only fish in the tank and always has been, and I have not introduced ANYTHING new into that tank besides the floating log...🤷ðŸ¼â€â™€ï¸ðŸ¤·ðŸ¼â€â™€ï¸ðŸ¤·ðŸ¼â€â™€ï¸ It's the only conclusion I could come to.I DO WANT TO SAY HOWEVER THAT WHEN I CONTACTED ZOOMED AFTER AMAZON RECOMMENDED ME TO, THEY REFUNDED IT IMMEDIATELY NO QUESTIONS ASKED.I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE WAY THAT STORE HANDLED THIS.I HAVE BOUGHT MANY PRODUCTS FROM THEM IN THE PAST AND I WILL CONTINUE TO BUY PRODUCTS FROM THEM IN THE FUTURE.

I covered it in some rocks and use it as a non floating hide for my fish but it also works great as a floating hide if you want

Habe den Artikel heute erhalten und aus der Packung genommen. Die Farbe blättert sofort innen und außen ab. Das kann für die Fische nicht gesund sein. Ich habe sofort eine Erstattung veranlasst.

It is rare to see one of these in any of my tanks without at least one fish in it -- usually three or four peeking in and hoping for a chance to sneak inside. Each one looks exceptionally natural, even before any algae grows on it. In Cichlid tanks where there is constant territorial jockying, these can make the difference between life and death for a more timid fish as I have yet to see breeding parents claim one as their spawning sight, choosing something on the bottom rather than a floating log. But they are often driving other fish away aggressively and this offers a quick hiding place. Available in multiple sizes, the resin is safe for aquarium water. The weighted bottom keeps them stable with the top just above the surface of the water, allowing for a basking place for frogs, newts, mudskippers, etc., making them a versatile addition to almost any type of aquarium and any depth of water. They are a little bit pricey but so much superior to most of the plastic decorations and so versatile that I try to ALWAYS have some in the store and ALWAYS want to add one to another tank myself, rather than keep it on the shelf to sell.

Ich habe den "Mini" für mein 126 Liter Aquarium gekauft. Der Baum ist aus Kunstharz und sieht im Aquarium täuschend echt aus. Habe ihn in der Ecke mit einem Nylonfaden festgebunden, damit er nicht im Wasser rumtreibt.Er ist unten beschwert und rollt sich somit nicht um seine eigene Achse. Mein Kampffisch geht oft rein, scheint ihm zu gefallen:-)NACHTRAG:Nach einem Monat im Gebrauch, geht die Farbe ab und der Stamm sieht nur noch weiß aus! Hab ihn direkt in die Tonne geworfen. Das kann nicht gesund sein :-(Schade!!
