We have a wild eastern box turtle that lives in our back yard. When the weather gets dry, we noticed he gets dehydrated and doesn’t look well. Got this for him and put it in his regular path and he loves it! He frequently soaks and naps in it or just drops by to get a drink.The unit is solid and stays put. It’s easy to clean and it’s the perfect size. The molded ridges and non-uniform edge made to look like rocks give him good traction getting in and out. I have also caught snakes and insects stopping by for drinks on hot days. It’s been a wonderful addition to our yard!

I looked at several options for a large water bowl for our bearded dragon. I selected this one because it is heavy, so stays in place, and does not move around the enclosure when she walks through it, or climbs into it. It is also the right size for an adult bearded dragon. She can fit the majority of her body in it to soak if she wants, but it is not so large that she could submerge herself entirely to possibly drown. I didn’t care so much about the aesthetics of it, but it does look fine if you are interested in a plastic rock-like effect. The only downside was it was the most expensive of all the options but it was worth the price for stability and less chance of spills .

He loves it. Easy for him to get in and out of. I do put rocks next to it to make it easier for him. It’s large enough to give him a good soak.

This looks good and has held up to constant use and cleaning. The biggest negative is that its relatively light weight allows it to be moved around the cage by the reptile. It has not gotten flipped over by my juvenile Red-footed Tortoise but has gotten pushed around from the location where it is placed. This would not be an issue with smaller reptiles that lack the strength to move it, but large lizards, snakes, and small tortoises could possibly flip it over and easily move it around. Not a bad product as long as it is used with the right animal. It is a convenient size and has worked well for the most part.

Heavier than it looks. Thought it was plastic but was pleasantly surprised to find it’s a durable, heavy, casted ceramic or something like that. Price can’t be beat!

Much bigger than expected but I was very glad because we wanted a large one. Perfect for our turtle to be able to climb into for a bit of a soak.
