- This dvr doesn't come with hard drive, you would need to install an internal hard drive in the dvr if you need record or playback.

This DVR died within 2 months of use. Just noticed one day the unit beeping and turning on and off everytime it tried to boot up. Our outdated unit lasted for 15 years and still works but this new one didn't make a few months. Not pleased at all with this device and would not recommend

I liked the interface of the system and that it was a brand that I had heard of. The specific things that I was unhappy with was hdmi wouldnt carry the audio stream. I also didn't like that it didnt have the ability to use ip cameras as well as the analog versions. The system could be programmed to allow that to happen without much effort unfortunately I don't have the time to reverse the code on the machine and then reload it back on. The problem that I have had most recently is that the video went out, i put a new dvr hybrid in its place and didn't do anything else different same cameras, power lines, cables, monitor, mouse and ptz controller it sees my extra few ip cameras and shows the video as well. Heck I even used the hard drive from the old machine. Granted I did have it in a well ventilated place that it sat in for almost 5 years before it quit working but I kinda expected it to last at least 10 years before we upgraded it. I didn't put it on line because I have cameras in the house and outside so being someone who has experience in the IT field I didnt want someone hacking into my system and watching my kids do what ever. The only security that works to keep people out is requiring physical access not being able to remote access it. I know it makes it so that I can't see the information remotely either but I have the cameras for the monitoring of my property from on the property mainly to keep an eye on my kids. Plus originally it was cheaper then a baby monitoring system that would only cover 1 space.

When installing the HD you can’t screw it in cuz it hits the wire! And you can’t flip it either! Only got one screw in to hold it.

Pros - Arrived new not refurbished - No missing components - Good price - Good for monitoring - Easy to connect - Cameras are decent quality - High or Low quality video setting optionCons - DVR does not work - Does not record - Settings do not allow to set correct time - Time is based on preloaded time zones which may not be correct - Poor customer service - Unable to speak with someone to resolve issues - Limited night visionSuggestion - Spend a little more and find a local reputable sellerFYI, I purchased the 16 channel 4TB system with indoor and outdoor cameras. I have tried various methods to correcting the time and for the system to record unsuccessfully. I will be replacing the DVR with a different unit from a different manufacturer soon.

Hooked up to the old system and is up and running with little effort. Great mobile app. Can view from multiple devices. Easy to navigate. I have used zosi before and they have been around for over 10 years. Customer support is great.

Been using for over a year. Works great. Have filmed in many locations', outside and inside. Even with the DVR in outside cold weather. DVR is easy to navigate and has worked out well.
