We've had a skunk snooping around our yard for a few days, and I decided to try this trap to relocate him. I received it yesterday, baited and left it out near an area where I know we had been frequenting, and went to bed. When I went out to check it this morning, sure enough, he was caught.I was a little leery about what to do next, but it was super simple. Just picked up the trap and drove it several miles down the road. Laid it on it's side, slid the door open, and stepped back. I was prepared to just open it and leave the trap to pick up this afternoon if he was reluctant to come out, but he just walked out and scurried off into the brush. If we catch another, I won't be concerned about the handling. It seems safe, and it's definitely simple and effective.I did feel the price was a tad high, but these days, what isn't? It's well built and sturdy metal, so should last a long time.BTW, I baited mine with cat treats. Seemed like a good choice with the taker on the first night out.UPDATE: Apparently we had a whole family of skunk! This trap has now caught 3 skunk in two days, liking it more and more all the time

It works good, but don’t think I should pay full price when damaged. There are dents that have been painted over.

The unit is very well made except the trap gate hangs and does not close all the way. Would make it difficult to trap a skunk.

Took about minutes to figure out how to set it up. Put it out in my garden, the next day I caught a skunk. Dispatched the skunk and then put trap out again, next day caught another one! Reset the trap then 3 days later caught another skunk (and yes - they were all different skunks).The only thing I wish was better was that some parts rust very quickly. Highly recommend if you know you have skunks (I saw them at night, so I knew).

This works great. You need to stake it to the ground to keep raccoons from carrying it away. lol Be prepared to wait a while for the skunk to leave it.
