Wilkins 3/4"-600XLHR Ideal for use where Lead-Free valves are required. Designed for installation on potable water lines to reduce high inlet pressure to a lower outlet pressure. The integral strainer makes this device most suitable for residential and commercial water systems requiring frequent cleaning because of sediment and debris. The direct acting integral by-pass de- sign prevents buildup of excessive system pressure caused by thermal expansion. The balanced piston design enables the regulator to react in a smooth and responsive manner to changes in system flow demand, while at the same time, providing protection from inlet pressure changes. With copper sweat connection.

As a replacement for the exact same model, this unit saved some $ over the home improvement store version by not having the connector sleeve and ring that I would have not needed. Was an easy swap, and no extra brass parts for the bin.

Geez. A plumber replaced this about three years ago, and now I need another? This time around I did the replacement myself, as it's the identical model to what was there, and the fittings were not corroded at all, so it was just an easy swap. It's working fine now, but it does concern me that the old one would fail so quickly. Fingers crossed I'll get more years out of this one.

I installed this regulator on our home main water line. I also installed pressure gauges just above and below the regulator, and was able to verify that the regulator is indeed doing what is supposed to do. Our main line from the street runs at about 100 psi and I was able to easily adjust it all the way down to a little below the 75 psi output rating. I called the manufacturer with a question at one point, and they were both friendly and helpful - a rare but winning combination for customer service!

Works great. After installing the default pressure was 100psi. I easily adjusted the adjustment bolt to bring it down 70psi. It is working as expected.⁷
