These mailbox replacement locks are very nice quality. The metal is thick and strong. It comes with a large assortment of backplates to fit a variety of mailbox styles. It is easy to replace and there are 3 keys for each lock. The keys are smooth to insert and do not get stuck at all. The lock functions smoothly. Very nice quality and a great value since you get 3 complete lock sets.

I should start off by saying this I got these for practice I am a locksmith in training and I thought I'd pick up some mailbox locks and see what that's about so I can't speak to you how easily they install into whatever application you're putting them in but I can't say this they do appear to be quality, built well, and as long as you know the measurements for your desired application you should be good to go. As you can see from the pictures it comes with all different types of tail pieces and everything you need to install it except for screws / bolts but those are already be there as this is a replacement LOLThey do seem to be at a decent price half that of similar products I've seen and to be honest I cannot tell any difference between them whatsoever or what commands the higher cost of the other product. So I would recommend this one over other more expensive ones as there's literally no distinguishable difference same measurements same pieces included etc. these definitely are pickable but they're not the easiest thing in the world to apply tension to and the dust cover is definitely an added obstacle and you can push it all out of the way out of the way and block it off with another object but for whatever reason if the dust cover is completely open it makes the turning of the core much more stiffer making it more difficult to read the feedback / open without a key so if you're opening it with the key the key holds that dust cover right at the perfect position so you get a buttery smooth turn. I could be a little out of my depth here but I like these locks I believe they're a good product / replacement.

These work great, especially for lockboxes that you want to give access to the post office. Since they are zinc I usually coat them in lube to protect them from the weather.

For most people, that won’t be a concern—it keeps the mailbox secure enough for everyday use. If you’re looking for a simple, functional replacement that meets USPS standards, this is a solid choice.
