used it on the deck joists. Really sticky stuff and easy to put down. It is sitting open to the winter now - can't wait to see what it is like in the spring when I resume work on the deck.

As good as any other butyl tape I have used. Great for sealing surfaces that required to be waterproof or prevent light rubbing. Very high grip so not easy to come off. Great price and adequate performance for domestic DIY projects.

If you have just recently built a deck within the last say 5 to 7 years you definitely want to take off the boards and buy some of this tape. It attaches on the top of the joists to help the moisture from wood to wood contact. I feel it will add at least 10 years worth of extra time to your deck due to the wicking motion of keeping the water out from between the wood. Yes unfortunately taking off your deck boards what take quite a bit of time, however wouldn't you want to add a decade more of use at the price you just paid to have it installed? I highly recommend to get this if you want to save a ton of money. Very easy to use the size will definitely cover any of the joists you have under your decking material the tape quality is very thick and durable and the adhesion is great because you're actually getting the pressure of the decking boards once you screw them back down. With adding a decade of functionality to your deck isn't it worth the time and money to add this to yours? We definitely thought it was for ours!

The tape is very easy to apply and has a strong adhesiveness. It stays firmly in place after it is applied and is still intact after a few days. Especially after it rains, the deck is no longer slippery and is safer to use. Its black design also matches the color of my deck very well and looks very coordinated. Overall, this tape is very easy to use.

Got this to complete a project to replace rotten joists on a large decking project. The tape provides a seal to the tops of the joists so avoids the eventual rotting. The old decking was ok and will be re-used but the joists had given up to rot. The tape is expensive but becomes great value in the long run.
