Bought these to drill a countertop, they work very well, good quality for a good price. Looks like it would fit almost any drill that you would use.

I bought these because they were cheap. I really only needed the 1 inch bit, but you never know when your going to "need" the others. Yep, I'm a tool hoarder. I took the advice of other reviewers when I used it. I drilled a 1 inch hole (with a spade bit) into a scrap piece of plywood, and clamped it onto the piece of ceramic tile with some strong spring clamps with non-marring rubber ends to use as a guide. I set it all into a shallow plastic storage container, with some scrap material between the bottom of the tile and the bottom of the container (so that I didn't drill through the bottom). I put the 1 inch drilax bit into the drill, set the container in my laundry tub (could have just filled that up if I had been thinking), filled the container up enough that the plywood was submerged by about a quarter inch, and proceeded to use the 1 inch hole in the plywood as a guide. I started slow, and lifted the bit a couple times to make sure that fresh, cold water was in the hole. It cut through in no time. Very, very happy. I was worried that the 1 inch bit would be too big for the 1 inch hole that I drilled with my spade bit, but it worked like a charm. I have one more hole to drill. The holes I needed to drill were for 1/2" pipe for the bathroom tub spout, and the shower head.

I purchased in January 2021 for $44. I actually needed 3 of the sizes that this 1 kit came with. I went to several tile shops, supply houses and looked online and I found that price of just ONE of their bits was more than this set. I figured worst case scenario, I would burn them up, finish the job and pitch them in the trash!2 years later and I have absolutely punished these bits and they haven’t slowed down a bit!I’ve used them on porcelain and ceramic tile, 2 granite countertops and the ultimate torture test was drilling through 3/4 granite tiles. I needed 4 inch round holes that kept cracking when trying to use a grinder. I decided to use these bits to drill multiple holes to make the 4†hole and it worked great! You can use the foam backing pad that holds the bits to CENTER it since the bit itself doesn’t have a centering bit. Get the hole started by holding the foam piece with one hand, fill it with water to keep the bit cool, then start the bit slowly with the other hand. I used a Dewalt battery drill and they worked great. I do keep them cool with water and low RPM’s while using them. I’ve even let a friend borrow them and they are still good. The ONLY CON: They are not deep enough to go all the way through a granite countertop. Bit is too shallow. So you can either start the top and go as far as possible then tap it out with a hammer. Or start the top and go as deep as possible then switch and approach from the bottom if you need to.For all tile including porcelain, just take your time and keep the bit wet and cool and they work and will last! Work great on tile backer board also!Definitely recommend them though!

I purchased this hole saw set for a bathroom tile project, I needed it give me a few clean cut penatraions through porcelain tile for clawfoot tub supply and drain lines. Im a homeowner I wasnt intrested in longevity or repat use really so I gave this set a try. I believe another customer review involved the use of a prefabricated "template" or Jig to assure alignment and stability while cutting so my plan was to do the same. Unlike traditional hole saws there is NO PILOT bit to guide you, in my opinion some type of template is a must, freehanding seems impossible. It performed perfectly, I also powered through the Hardie Board subfloor, below that is an old wood floor so of course I switched to a wood bit for that final layer. The bit heated up a bit and shed some of the chrome coating but I was very pleased with the results, I offer these pics to illistrate. I also grabbed for the bits to help bore out the ID of a 1 1/2" PVC pipe fitting in desperation I needed a male adapter to work as a trap adapter. I was shocked when I pulled this off,( I didnt learn that trick in plumbing school). The bits work with an abbrasive cutting edge, the case that it comes with is pretty handy it holds bits tightly in place even when dropped off the work bench. Impressive. I'd buy this again and recommend to a friend.

I went back and forth deciding whether to assess 4 stars or 3. Here's why I settled on 3:1) none of the bits had sizes marked on them, so I need to measure them with a caliper to ensure I'm selecting the right size2) the one size bit that I needed for the project I purchased this set for had a big glob of what I'm assuming is adhesive affixing the grit to the bit. This made the bit lopsided, and the holes it produced were just a tad too big.So why not less than three stars? Well, for all their faults they do cut very well, and they seem to last a long time. I drilled several holes in very hard porcelain tile, and they penetrated the material very well and cut through very quickly. After the job there is still plenty of grit left. Carbide couldn't even scratch the glaze, and another brand diamond bit barely made a dent, never penetrating even the entire glazed layer of the tile.

Having used a few brands of these bits before I decided to pay a little more for this set however they aren't well made with poor grip to your chosen drilling device. Onnfirstbuse under cooling conditions I wore the bit out before breaching 4mm of glass. Very disappointed.

Tool bore bits purchased based on ratings and package content. Just finished boring 1/4" and 1/2" holes in porcelain for mounting wall TV. Used squirt bottle constantly for lubing and drilled through the 3/8" tile with 1/2" cement backing board with no issue. Just start the bore on an angle first. Bits appeared a little lighter than Milwaukee bit bought many years earlier but indeed great value for your dollar. Looking forward to using for 1" water pipe line when installing new shower. I see no issue with using these and having such a selection for the price is great.
