Although this "10 Yards 3MM Flat Genuine Leather Cord, PEASUG Real Leather Strip, 9M (Dark Brown)" cording is slightly more lightweight than I expected, it feels strong when pulled without any issue and so I'm happy with the durability factor of it.The dark brown shade of color that I received is exactly right for what I wanted and looks like the product photo. The contrast of coloring between the front and back is quite aesthetically pleasing and when twisting in a jewelry project, I think that it will enhance the look even more.There's a faint leather scent to the cording, which is expected but certainly not strong at all. I don't work with leather a ton, but do enjoy making bracelets (and occasionally a simple leather corded necklace with a pendant), and think this flat cording would be best for bracelets, in my opinion. If I were to use this as a necklace cord, I might worry that the flat/squared edges might irritate more sensitive necks from friction/movement.Finally, this leather cording is simple, great for Boho and rustic jewelry projects (as well as other arts/crafts) and feels durable when I pull hard at it. The coloring (dark brown) is deep and rich on the top side, with the suede-like bottom gives a pretty contrast. Overall, I like this for bracelet making, but do think it could be useful for many other creative projects. For aesthetics, good durability and value, this cording is worth adding to one's bookmarks to consider. Thanks for reading.

I have been playing with this cord, since receiving it. I have made several friendship style bracelets, to see how it knots and reacts to pulling (weaving, then undoing, to make another, to test the resilience of the cord). If you pull with a lot of strength, this will break. But I had to be intentionally trying to break it, for that to occur. When I was simply tying it, it stood up fine.The color is pretty. It smells like leather and it is clearly real leather. It is easy to use and it’s possible uses are too many to write here.This is a good value, especially for the price.

I mostly got this cord for projects, however it's advertised as a possible shoelace as well. Even though I'm not interested in using it for that, it does seem strong enough. I pulled on a length of it as hard as I could and I felt no tearing or ripping at all. It seems to be a consistent size/thickness all the way through, and I even did a little test burnishing (as much as you can on a thin cord) to see how it would handle, and it seemed to work well. (Not sure if you can see the right side of the bottom piece of cord is slightly burnished.)I'll be happy to use this in my upcoming projects!

10 yards of 3mm flat leather cord. I ordered the dark brown. It is available in tan and black as well. As you can see from the photos, it is genuine leather with the rougher and lighter backing and the top side is a smooth shiny leather. This cord feels strong; I haven't yet used it for any projects, but what I plan to use it for will not put a significant amount of weight on it- I plan to use it mainly for embellishing bags and rope bowls or other similar projects such as decorative crafts. So I don't know its limits as far as weight or durability. I am pleased with the amount and the quality.

I was excited to use this leather cord to replace the laces on several pairs of my boots, but unfortunately, it didn’t hold up. The string broke with minimal effort while threading it through the first pair, and a second attempt ended the same way.It might work well for lightweight arts and crafts projects, but it’s far too fragile for shoelaces or anything requiring durability. If you’re looking for something sturdy, this isn’t it. Disappointing for my intended use.

It's flat and looks real. The description and length seem to be accurate. It's a great in-between size (width) for a variety of projects, including leather work, sewing and costume making, and wide braids. Also, the picture is exactly how it was shipped (in plastic,) so it's not kinked up or stuck in a certain shape because of being on a spool. It's a nice addition to my craft supplies.

Just as described I received 10 yards of genuine leather cord. This was exactly what I was hoping for. When I was in high school I used to love making bracelets out of leather just by knotting it and wrapping it around my wrist. I caught one of my kids doing the same with yarn and thought this would be a nice way to surprise them with more sophisticated materials to execute their design ideas in a fashionable way. They were very pleased with the quality of this cord, and I was happy that the price was so reasonable as well. The leather seems very strong, so it would work well for lacing up shoes; however, I think it's more appropriate for jewelry making and stringing beads because of its unfinished look. I'm very pleased with this product. With the current 20% off coupon, I think it's a real steal.

This review is for the 10 Yards 3MM Flat Genuine Leather Cord, PEASUG Real Leather Strips, Natural Leather String, Braided Braiding String for Shoe Laces, Jewelry Making, Necklace, Tool, Crafts - Tan, 9M (Tan). I would call the color brown rather than tan, as it is a strong deep natural leather color. It is exactly what I expected, a thin, natural leather cord that will work for rugged/rustic looking cording and wrapping items. Very happy with the quality and quantity at this price point.
