Socks catch anything that are drawn into the skimmer cuts down on back washes very easy to pull out and throw away

Takes a load off the main filter. Inexpensive so a one time use is justified. Replace as needed … twice a day in early spring when trees are shedding pollen.

Love these and I keep them on hand all the time. Catches a lot of dirt and other stuff that helps keep my filter cleaner. They hold up really well.

Every pool owner should know about these things. They’re a lifesaver, they are a HUGE timesaver. This photo is just from overnight. If you have trees that are dropping Pineneedles and leaves and it’s breezy you don’t realize how much dirt & very small pieces are blown in your pool until you pull one of these socks out.And with long haired German Shepherds the hair when they swim would go through the skimmer basket and threw the basket at the pump so it’s all in my sand filter but now after they swim I pull that sock out & it’s packed with hair. They just walk by the pool & shake & hair is in the pool. It all goes in the sock….none of it is making it into my filter. So now hopefully I don’t have to change my sand out every 2-3 years I might be able to make it to 5.It seems like every few days I was having to clean out the basket at the pump because leaves & debris we’re getting through the skimmer basket & since using these I have not had to clean the pump basket out once except for when I backwash, I always clean it out. And when I was fighting algae this spring, those socks were so green I mean green. And also having the socks helped knowing that my algae condition was either getting better or worse by the color of the sock.If you don’t have these I highly recommend getting them & the 100 pack because there are days that I’ll switch out the sock several times due to debris.

These skimmer socks are economical even when only using once. I use them when vacuuming the pool of debris and insects and the socks keep the debris from making it to the filter cartridge thus help extending the useful life of the cartridge. The skimmer socks could possibly be rinsed out and re-used more than once but it is just too easy ro toss them after one use since they are so ecomical.
