My previous surge protector actually did suffer a near-lightning strike. It doesn't have as detailed of an indicator as this one does, so I decided to get this as my new one for when I'm able to do some light camping with my fifth wheel.Pros* Circuit Analyzer - It has indicators to make sure the device is setup correctly and working properly.* Auto shutoff and Reset - This is really nice to have. You don't want to wakeup in a sweat because something knocked your power out in the RV.* Waterproofing - I looked for IP67 to make sure this was waterproof. As the other pictures show, it feels robust enough and I think it will last.* Easy Protection - There is little reason not to have one of these to protect your expensive electronics. Most of the time you plug one end into the source and your input into the other end and it works without any further intervention.Cons:* I haven't run into issues yet, but will update if I do.

I've used this for about a month now. Powering a small tiny home. Works as advertised. The LED display is very bright which allows you to read the voltage level during the day. Unfortunately, that very bright LED becomes a beacon at night. We are setup in a remote, heavily wooded area with no outside lights. If you want to star gaze or enjoy the dark of the woods, you will need to cover the LEDs. I don't think this problem is specific to this product. It's an unintended consequence of having an LED display. A dark plastic cover would help but then you couldn't read the display without lifting the cover which we've secured to keep it from flipping up in strong winds. The bright LEDs also attracts bugs. The moths love it. This product works as advertised. No issues. These are things to think about if you're purchasing a surge suppressor with an LED display instead of small LED lights. I'm very pleased with this product. Our power fluctuates a great deal. I like the over and under voltage protection.

This RV surge protector works great! The 30A capacity with automatic shutdown provides peace of mind, especially during unpredictable power fluctuations. The LED display is clear and helpful for monitoring voltage and circuit status. It’s easy to set up, waterproof with an IP67 rating, and durable enough for outdoor use. Highly recommend for RV owners!

The function is great It shows if the box that you are connecting to is good.Green lights show that. The quality of the product is superb. Very heavy duty and it has a heavy clear plastic cover to help keep moisture out of your connection. This product will protect all of you electric appliances in your RV.GREAT product.

The surge protecttor was well packaged and arrived on time with no damage. Compared to the last surge protector I bought from Camping World, it was extremely well priced. I liked that it shows the voltage digitally in large well lit numbers (I can see them though the window of my RV). I like that there is a circuit analyser to tell you if there is a wiring problem at the campground pedestal such as open ground, reversed wiring, etc, etc but looks like there is only one red light to identify if such a problem exists on this unit but not what the specific problem is. My last surge protector had light options for each specific type of problem. I like that there is protection for both high (a voltage surge) as well a low voltage. Low voltage can be harmful to RV appliances such as air conditioners and microwaves. My last surge protector had similar protection as well and it specifically shut down the power during low voltage scenarios for 2 minutes which gave the air conditioner time to settle down before re-starting. Not sure if this unit has this 2 minute shut-down feature. My last surge protector did not have a plastic see-thru cover over the RV plug and this one does although it seems a little flimsy - we'll see how it holds up. Lastly, the instructions say to turn off the power at the pedestal before plugging the RV in, which is a smart thing to do, and then flip the breaker to see if the light is green on the surge protector signifying proper wiring. They then tell you to plug your RV in. I personally would not plug in a 30 amp plug to a live circuit for fear of arcing so I would advise turning off the pedestal breaker again before plugging in the RV and only then turning the power back on. The instructions do not say this. My last surge protector had a 2 minute delay before it powered up so you could make the connection without having to turn the breaker on an off while making the connection. Despite of these few things I did not like, I still gave the product 4 stars as it appears to be well made with some good features and very well priced.

I am excited to use this in our camper come Spring. This is exactly what we needed. Appears to be nice quality. I like the fact that it has an “over/under†voltage auto shut off and reset! The circuit analyzer is really thorough.

Not much you can say about these things, it's a surge protector, and you expect it's doing what it should. I like the digital read-out to know the voltage it's working with. It's a must-have for any RV owner because you just never know about the campground electricity...
