This is a nice hitch step. Plenty big but it is not designed for towing heavy trailers. The 1,000 lb rating is for towing I think. It's thin walled tubing with one welded inside the other. But only with one weld. so used as a step this is great. But don't think your going to tow a big trailer with it. Overall has a nice thick paint finish. Good grip on the step plate. And should be able to hold just about any humans weight.

This thing is super heavy duty and very well made. Even being larger I am able to use this step with total confidence. Like the addition of the reflectors as well. You would NOT want to hit your shin on this bad boy.
