Bought to use on insulated walk in freezer walls. Machine screws were stripping out and became useless. Drilled the hole out and used insert worked perfectly.

These are seemingly good rivnuts, with a long grip, the good zinc finish, and properly knurled in the right places. I've never seen or used "multi-grip" rivnuts before - I'm not sure if my believe regarding what "multi grip" means is mistaken, or if these are mis-identified, or what ...

This plating provides a protective layer that improves corrosion resistance and adds a sleek finish.FeaturesPre-Bulbed Shank: The rivet nuts feature a pre-bulbed shank design, which helps them expand evenly and securely within the material when installed. This design improves the grip and holding strength.Flat Head: The flat head design ensures that the rivet nuts sit flush against the surface, providing a clean and professional appearance.Multi-Grip Design: The multi-grip feature allows the rivet nuts to accommodate a range of material thicknesses, making them versatile for different applications.ProsSecure Installation: The pre-bulbed shank design enhances the rivet nut’s ability to expand securely within the material, ensuring a strong and stable installation.Corrosion Resistance: The color-zinc plating provides a layer of protection against rust and corrosion, extending the lifespan of the rivet nuts, especially in outdoor or harsh environments.Versatile Use: The multi-grip feature makes these rivet nuts suitable for a variety of materials and thicknesses, offering flexibility for different projects.Quantity: With 25 pieces in the kit, you get a good quantity for various applications or multiple projects, providing value and convenience.ConsSize Specificity: The kit is specific to 1/4-20 size rivet nuts. I got this for repaneling the inside of a vehicle that I'm using as an RV. Lots of people use these "plus nuts" in van life builds. However after using these, I think that normal rivnuts/nutserts are probably a better value for your money if just going into standard sheet metal. These are longer and need more space behind them to set, and if you're pulling hard enough to rip out a regular rivnut then you're going to be bending the sheet metal anyway. Also these are just carbon steel, whereas the other kind can be bought in stainless or even aluminum for corrosion resistance.I'll use these where I have the space to use them, but for tight spaces I still have to use the less expensive rivnuts.

Although these are called rivets, you really don't need to compress them in many cases. I use them for woodworking - just drill a tight hole and press them in for a no show 1/4-20 bolt.Hundreds of uses when a nut just isn't attractive or you have zero clearance.

Handy set for sheet metal work. They are consistent and well made and work. They seem to crush consistently too which is nice. So far I have had only success.

this product is not 1/4-20 as advertised. I use my plusnut mandrel on 1/4-20 all the time... My tool did not fit in those plusnuts.
