We bought these because we were quickly burning through the name-brand filters during tank setup and we could not afford it! These were almost the perfect size to the small tetra whisperer filter that we have! Just have to push them down a little hard to get them to fit but once they’re in, they filter great.Functionality is great, value for the money is unmatched, it’s relatively easy to use, longevity is as equal to the name-brand filters, and they are super durable!

Tighter fit but far better value than the brand not only in purchase price but also each cartridge has well over double the amount of charcoal and a thicker "fabric", so it's better at water clearing. I'm quite happy with these.

The filters look like and perform as well as the brand ones, but they are more expensive than the Tetra filters. Good performance, but it is hard to recommend them at any cost above the Tetra ones.
