We have a large aquarium for our pet turtle. We purchase these filter replacements for the filter that we have. Since I forget to order them until we need them, we have our order set up on a subscription. I highly recommend this product and if you are like me I would recommend getting the subscription set up so that you will always have them on hand.

These floss pads do exactly as they say. When used in a properly setup filter, they leave you with clean, clear water. I personally can't get QUITE crystal clear water, but I think that's because I have two turtles, and turtles are messy, messy creatures compared to fish. I can say that every week when I clean my filter out, these have a massive amount of gross caught in them, so I can say that they are doing their jobs very well. I usually rinse them out and reuse them once or twice, but after that, they start to wear out, and get matted down, which I believe reduces their effectiveness. They're cheap enough in bulk that I don't worry about the cost.
