See headline. I have not used these specific ones at this time.I was going to buy the cheapest 2 pack without the clips ;but I need new clips for a couple of the 3 faucets I recently did and saw they are corroding pretty badly by now. I do have (and have used) some other of cartridge replacements of different brands and these match up exactly when I compared them side by side with ones that I have used. These types of sink parts from different brands can have different numbers of the little black gasket rings but all have worked for me, I ordered these specifically as they come with the little brass clips, as sometimes i have need of them.Every few years a sink faucet will get hard to pushpull or leak, and it's good to have some on hand. My bathtub shower handles happen to use the same part, so that's handy if I have a spare to put in. Simple to replace, just remember to FIRST turn off all water lines under the sink, or for the house if doing a bathtub which you know uses the same part, or a sink whose valves leak only when shut off or too difficult to shut off.You might need to buy the special puller tool which screws down onto the old part and gives you something more to hold to pull the part out. Sometimes it will come out by grabbing the old part with pliers and pulling. If not you need the tool. I did need it for a couple of faucets and it was worth it just for that. Most of mine have come out with pliers though,I started doing this when a bathtub faucet stuck and I had to call a plumber. I watched him and asked questions, and also confirmed the sinks used the same cartridges. If the hot/cold water comes out reversed when turning the handle after replacement, you turn off the water to prevent accidents, then remove just the handle, pull up the inside rod that moves up and down when turning water on/off, and turn it around180 degrees then put the handle back on and turn on the water. It should now work correctly, so there is no need to panic if the first time after you replace the part, it's working opposite from the way it had been. it's simple to fix.Been doing this ever since that first plumber call, and saved myself a lot of money that would otherwise have been going into a plumber's pocket. I know, as the plumber who fixed the first one cost me $150.00 for the service call and repair, if I remember right. I've replaced 6 over the years after the plumber showed me how simple it was. Lived here a long time and it's good to have the faucets work smoothly,

I normally turn my nose up at aftermarket Moen parts as I have a hotel full of fake Moen posi temp carts that are very problematic. So I use the real Moen rebuild kits or real Moen carts as the fakes are discovered. In this case with the Moen 1225 carts, there is no Moen rebuild kits available through my approved vendors. The aftermarket rebuilds don't go together correctly and I'm in a bind as I have over 120 lav faucets in this building that are aging and beginning to leak. Stocking large numbers of OEM 1225 carts is not in my budget so I thought I would give these aftermarket carts a try as they are less than half of OEM in price. The build quality seems excellent and without breaking out calipers, they seem identical to OEM. They come well greased and the instructions are superior to the instructions that come with the OEM carts. Operation is perfect and smooth as silk. Just like OEM. I'm braver with these ones as these faucets don't require posi-temp (anti-scald) like the shower and tub 1222's. I've never found a good aftermarket for those.I'm pleased that I can get a pile of these on my shelves to have on hand when a guest has a after hours "issue". They don't care how many years this new cart may or may not last.... so I'm willing to give them a try for the long haul at huge savings.Have a good day all :)

Had a problem with an after market cartridge that was plastic, these are "almost" as good as genuine Moen . I would have given five star rating except the stem of this cartridge is .074 shorter than Moen cartridge and I had to make a spacer to stop a slight drip . Would not shut off completely untill I made the spacer . Fast delivery, reasonable price .

The units arrived as pictured. The old cartridges were removed from a Moen Chateau L4621 and these fit in perfectly. There were two minor issues that WOULD NOT prevent us from purchasing again. First, the retainer pins are too short for this style. Yes, even when pushed in all the way. It clips perfectly through the top opening, but does not go through the bottom like Moen has. To solve this was easy for us, just use the one that is in there. Second issue, with one unit, was the black side seal slip off when we applied silicone. We just fit it back in and continued to work away. Our last Moen cartridge was clearly marked H and C for hot and cold. Unless we missed it, it is not on these. Result was we guessed right 50% so we needed to go back and shut off the water to reverse correctly. We expect these to hold up...............................................................................Follow-up: Installed two more, went in fine, work perfectly. Too bad no way to know which is hot/cold. Fortunately, we guessed right on the two installs and did not have to reverse the cartridge! Note that we would suggest searching online on how to reverse hot/cold. We had to do it for the first batch on one cartridge. There is a way to do it without removing the cartridge (still have other things to do, i.e. turn off water, etc.)...

Can't speak to longevity, but this was easy to install and stopped the leak. The tough part was getting the old one out, for which I bought a special tool before ordering this. The plastic things here are supposed to help you pull the old cartridge and might work for that. The instructions were busy, but basically I just popped the new cartridge in the way the old one was. The cartridge fits with the ears (or shoulders) up and down (north and south), because when you install the pin to hold it in place, it straddles the top ear. Then you put the rest of the fixture together and test the water. If hot and cold are reversed, you don't have to pull the cartridge. Just take the knob or lever off to where you can see the cartridge again, and rotate the water control 180 degrees.

This replaced an original Moen 1225 shower cartridge. Instructions can be somewhat confusing. Multiple reads may be required. I suggest you highlight the steps that apply. The quality so far is excellent. I cannot comment on longevity. I do hope it lasts. But the ease of use compared to the original, corroded piece it replaced, is quite an improvement. Really smooth.Definitely recommended. Just follow the instructions and make sure it is pushed all the way in. I added a bit more silicone lubricant to make it easier to insert.

Had to replace a Moen cartridge after two years and decided to try these - two for about the same price as one brand name. Could not see any difference with Moen and slipped right into place (Note: These are pre-greased so no need to buy that expensive silicon grease). Hopefully, I will get at least two years out of this one before having to use the second. The only problem now is the handle is so smooth there is almost no resistance when lifting the handle and I am constantly opening the faucet way more than I intended!

Bought two as whenever you replace one of something you always need another. Quality is good and replaced easily without leaks.
