Great quality for the price. I first tried it on turning a resin based project. The edge didn't last too long likely because of the hardness of turning resin instead of a wood. Overall it feels great in your hands!

We were shocked when it arrived. Ordering online can be a hit or miss and all tools are made differently with everyone having personal preferences. It’s very well made and the quality for the price was a very pleasant surprise! My husband has spent hundreds on certain brands of working tools and he is finding this is a go to. Stays sharp only needing a lite touch up on occasion and aids in producing a great pieces.

Great product. only problem AMAZON PRIME driver was going to deliver package to wrong address, luckily I was outside and called to him to correct his mistake. I only can guess drives can not read.

For what I paid compared to some higher end brands, it works. Handle is solid and I do like how long it is. However, it does not hold a sharp edge as long as other brands I own. I sharpen regularly but find I need to touch this up twice as often as my other gouges. Next time I will spend a bit more for a brand I know the quality of.

The handle and steel seem fine. The initial grind is all over the place and is unusable in the initial profile.

I do not do a lot of bowls,but when I do I had to use a variety of chisels to cut and shape. I had never used a bowl gouge before and used a U Tube video to figure how to shape this brute. Once shaped I decided to make a couple of bowls from spruce 2x6 just to practice . I had never used a gouge before and expected the worst. I was extremely surprised at how quick this thing shaped out and finished a bowl,no other chisels required . Very little sanding required. It is the largest tool in my collection and it takes some getting used to but works absolutely excellent. Now I wished I had purchased the set of three!!!!!

Like others have said, the grind on this is pretty uneven and needs work before being put to use. The handle is nice, length is ok, could be a bit longer and the steel holds a decent but not great edge.
