If you know what this is and how to use it, it's just like every other one you've used or been issued.Personally, I haven't had to use it for its intended purpose in a long time, so I use mine as a straight edge and protractor for geometric art.

These are of thicker than the Military issue I used to use in my day. So I feel they are better; more durable. We'll see when start map reading and hiking again.

I wanted the same one I used in the Army. This is it. I really like it. Makes taking a bearing easier. Works well with my compass and topo maps. I like how it gives you the reverse bearing so you don't need to do the math in your head. Makes it faster and easier. I like it and I'm glad got it.
