Good quality bits that work as intended. I like that the kit comes with the extra few screws because they are easy to lose. These are sharp and ready to go. Good value for the price.

If you own a compatible set of wood lathe tools, this offering of replacement carbide inserts covers each tool typically in the set. This includes the rougher (square), detailer (round), bowl or hollower (small round) and finisher (diamond) tools. You get 3 inserts for each tool.The quality and sharpness of the inserts are at least equivalent to those that came with the set. Nothing is worse than having to stop in the middle of a project to order a replacement part. Having these spares in reserve makes a lot of sense.This is a good selection of inserts to have as backup, and the cost is reasonable. A case to store the extra inserts long term would have been nice.

Much less expensive than the Rockler carbide tips. They fit the Rockler tools perfectly.

These are great replacement heads for the Carbide tools I own. They are also capable of being resharpened and taking a new edge for longer use.

This product provides a good selection of cutters. And they are sharp!Tungsten Carbide is designed to be disposable, so they don't require any sharpening. (Carbide tips can be sharpened, but require specialized diamond abrasives). The carbide stays reasonably sharp for a longer period of time, but because of its coarse grain, can never be sharpened as finely as HSS.These cutters are comparable priced and cuts well. I am unable to tell the "grade" of tungsten carbide these cutters are made with (if there is such a varying grade).
