I should have read the measurements more closely but the item was so much smaller than expected and I decided to return this item

so the coco liners for plant hanging baskets have a certain rustic look to them. they're biodegradable. they also degrade rather quickly, on the spot, by less seasons than you'd like to admit. it's just a fact of life. in contrast, felt, however, is still nicely porous and breathable -- unlike coco coir, washable. and unlike coco coir, much longer lasting year after year. does it look as pretty and rustic? no. but sometimes it's worth it to consider practicality over the other options. for that reason, this roll will work a long way for quite a few baskets for quite a few years. 5 stars.

I have an unusual green-onion planter that sits in my kitchen window. Green onions from the grocer are separated and placed in holes where the roots develop into the water reservoir and grow into a fiber mat. Over time as the green onions are harvested for cooking, the mat deteriorates and requires replacement. This roll of plant felt is perfectly sized to cut and fit in the bottom of the water reservoir. The roll of material is adequate to provide many replacement mats, and thereby extends the life and usefulness of my planter which serves the purpose of freeing up space in my refrigerator preventing waste from onions that dry up.

This is a nice sturdy sort of a cross between fabric felt and that foam stuff you use for crafts. It doesn't get slimy when wet like the foam, but doesn't disintegrate like the felt either. It's more porous than plasticm but not nearly as much as the coco liner it will replace. That said, I'm not very smart when it comes to these things. I should've ordered a larger width. At 12", my 12" basket has several inches below the rim uncovered. I've tried a couple of different ways to sort of wrap it in, but when it needs to overlap like a fabric would, it gaps instead. I'd have to staple it or something to get it to work. Not the fault of the product, mine for not thinking my measurements through. So, I will say, "cut to fit" isn't as easy as it sounds. Finally, I don't love the aesthetic. It looks okay. Nice and clean and neat, unlike coco. But it completely takes away the natural look, which is something I didn't know I loved about the coco until now. Maybe I should've ordered black, but I'm not sure that would've blended with the woodsy look I have going either.I'll think of another use for this handy, super thick, felt, but it's not really going to work very well in my baskets. More my fault than that of the product, but definitely something to be aware of as you order.Overall, quality was great. Packaging was well thought out (rolled, not folded) and it should serve its purpose just fine, if you measure right.

This felt fabric planter is excellent quality. It’s sturdy and soft at the same time, it retains moisture without keeping the bottom soggy. My planters look nice and cleaner I have all my plants cozy and ready for the winter.

Extremely pleased with this product. It is thick and made well for lining your plants. It comes on a roll, so you cut it to size. Perfect! Exactly what I needed. Thank you!

More like a long piece of stiff fel. Would have returned if I hadn’t cut it
