Where to use it ?
Applications include RO system, beverage dispensing, refrigerator ice maker, coffee machine etc.Float valves are simple to install and can save a lot of water from ending up on the floor. They can be installed in containers as small 1 gallon pails, sumps, and 200 plus gallon commercial storage containers to shut off the flow of water. Even if you do not have a large storage container a simple 5 gallon bucket with a float valve installed in it will help save money from having water end up on the floor or best case scenario just going down the drain. Also you can convert any coffee or espresso machine to automatic refill
How to use it ?
Installation is as easy as drilling a small hole in the container, sliding the float in and attaching using the included nut. and then pop in your 1/4" tubing into 90 degree 1/4 tube fitting , pushing until it won't go in. To remove, just push in the outer circle on either end and pull right out. You need to make sure the tubing is cut squared to insure no leaks.

The Liimevvon 1/4 inch Tube Float Valve Kit has been an absolute game-changer for my hydroponic setup using a 55-gallon drum. This kit has proven to be the perfect solution for maintaining a consistent water level, and I couldn't be more pleased with its performance.First and foremost, the installation process was incredibly straightforward. I was initially concerned about setting up a water control system for my hydroponics, but this kit made it a breeze. The push-in to connect design worked like a charm, and I was able to customize the placement of the float valve and tubing to suit my specific needs. What sets this kit apart is its versatility. While it's designed for various applications, including RO systems, I found it to be an ideal fit for my hydroponic setup with the 55-gallon drum. It allowed me to maintain a consistent water level in the drum, ensuring that my plants received the optimal amount of water at all times. The quality of this kit is impressive. It's 100% BPA-free, which is crucial for hydroponic systems where water quality is paramount. Additionally, the 100% leak-free promise gave me peace of mind, knowing that my hydroponic area would remain dry and mess-free.In terms of performance, this float valve kit exceeded my expectations. It connected seamlessly to the faucet, and the float valve efficiently regulated the water flow into the drum. With the ability to handle a minimum operating pressure of 40 PSI and a maximum of 80 PSI, it provided consistent water delivery to my hydroponic system.Overall, the Liimevvon 1/4 inch Tube Float Valve Kit has greatly improved the functionality of my hydroponic setup with the 55-gallon drum. It's easy to install, reliable, and offers excellent value for the price. If you're looking for a solution to maintain water levels in your hydroponics system, this kit is a fantastic choice. Love this little device was looking for something for my fountain when I came across it. I’ve always wondered about a way to make my coffee machine stay full as well. As I was scrolling through I saw some reviews mentioning just that! What a time saver ! Easy to install just works. Easy to adjust ! Has worked flawlessly since install no leaks, great water flow matches machine as it is filling cups. Can’t beat the price!

Only issue I had was the kit should have included a T-split connector to join up to my existing RO system. Found the part I needed at Home Depot for about $3 and had it installed in no time. Otherwise thought this was a good price for what was included. Didn't realize how nice it is not having to fill the water tank once or twice a day.Does not include instructions, but I figured it out from a few image links I found on a link with the product reviews here on Amazon.

Second update (Jan 2025): It has been working without issues for the second continuous year in my backyard, which is exposed to weather elements.I used it to automate the watering of my outdoor fountain one year ago. It still works, and I am satisfied with its quality because it has saved much water since installation.

Overall, this is a really great auto-fill float kit that I used to fill the outdoor fountain when the sprinkler system runs, but it does have one caveat to be aware of when installing it.An issue I have been having with my smaller outdoor fountain is that it runs out of water every 3 days or so, and usually at times when I am not around to hear the pump struggling as it sucks in air. Behind my fountain, I have drip irrigation line, but instead of running an extra water emitter into the fountain sump and hoping it dispenses enough water to keep the fountain filled, I wanted to add a float valve like I have on my larger in ground fountain. Since drip irrigation also uses 1/4in lines, I was able to connect this float directly to the irrigation line so that when the sprinkler system comes on, the fountain will quickly refill to the set level, and then shut off as to not overflow and flood that flowerbed. Since drip irrigation systems usually have pressure regulators as well, the drip irrigation system was already set up to deliver the correct pressure to the float valve without needing any additional regulators. If water pressure is otherwise too high, these type of valves can keep leaking water. Overall, using this valve tapped into outdoor irrigation lines seems like a really convenient way to add auto-fill to outdoor water features. However, there is one small issue to note for when choosing how to install the valve. The valve works/mounts opposite to how most conventional float valves function. Most valves have the float arm/pivot that shuts off the water protrude from under the valve body, allowing the max water level to be set well below the valve body itself, and usually they shut off when the float comes up in-line with the float body. The float arm/pivot on this valve instead comes out the top of the valve when installed correctly, instead of the bottom of the valve body as might be expected from other valves on the market. In the factory shipped configuration, the angle of the float body is set so it looks like a more conventional valve, but if you install it with the float/pivot sitting below the body of the valve, the water wont flow as that position, when the reservoir is empty, is the "Off" position of the valve. The valve needs to be installed with the float pivot arm coming out of the top of the body, and then you can adjust the pivot point so the float body bends downwards. It is a little hard to explain without a diagram, but if you look at my attached picture, it should make it somewhat more clear. I did end up installing the valve the wrong way around, but rotating the body 180 degrees and re-adjusting the float position fixed this isssue. This is not a manufacturing issue, but instead it just seems to be a quark from the design being made to fit into very small spaces and hopefully this review will help others who might otherwise install the valve upside down.
