Bought this for a 1950's Dumore Die grinder I picked up that only had a 1/4" collet for attaching cutting wheels. This adapter collet fit perfectly for using 1/8" Dremel grinding or sanding tips. The collet also matches the advertisement photo and is slit on BOTH ends. This is essential as it means the back end can be compressed by the collet nut and locked in place within the original grinder shaft collet, while the front end compresses and locks the 1/8" shaft of the grinding/sanding tip in place.

Easy to drop into the chuck of a die grinder, but it's small! Don't loose it!Clamps the shank of a 1/8" dia firmly. Drops out easily when loosened.I wish it was fluorescent orange instead of black.

I bought a red Fuel die grinder. I want to use my Dremel attachments with it. This collet fits in the regular collet to allow use of smaller Dremel attachments.

The quality of the collet is good. Although there were less expensive collets I am happy with the one I bought.

The picture shows it slotted from both sides. But it's only slotted from the top. Needless to say it did not work in Dewalt cordless grinder DCG426. If it were slotted from both sides like pictured it would definitely work.
