this is a quick fix for an annoying problem that my router travel ws not long enough for the bit to properly protrude through my router table. Now not only do I have plenty of room, I can actually change the bit without even removing the router from the table

There was nothing wrong with this but I'm trying to connect a 1/4" router to a bit with a 1/2" shaft. I can still use this collet but need to find a 1/2" router or an adapter for the one I have.

I am using this in my router table, it's a nice quality I also have a great half inch one, not the same make though.

This is a 1/2" shank with a 1/4" collectWrongly assumed it was a 1/2" shank with a 1/2" collet not clearly stated anywhere on this about 1/4" buyer will not replace either with no contact
