These worked really well in our sand filter and were so much easier to use than sand. I also use some of these in our pool robot vacuum thing and it really helps trap all the smaller stuff from the bottom of the pool. These easily wash and dry to be used over and over.

First year using filter balls in my cordless vacuum. They worked great! I was blown away at what they collected that my vacuum would miss. They are so easy to clean and keep reusing.

These filter balls worked great. Much better than sand and easier to clean. They filtered out a lot and we noticed a difference right away. I’d recommend these to all.

I was really optimistic about these. Price is very comparable to sand, but sand breaks down in 2 years and you have to find a place to put it, and is heavy. I thought the light weight, and easy to clean poly balls would have been a hot ticket.Had to purchase 2 additional bags to review, my Intex sand filter requires 120lbs of sand filter media. So, roughly 2.5 bags to service my filtering equipment. Once everything was thoroughly cleaned, loading the filter balls is easy, drop them in, add about 5 gallons to prime the tank and I was off to cleaning.The water was reasonably clear after a day of filtering, there was a lot of sediment on the bottom of my pool because I just opened and shocked it. With sand media, I can typically vacuum my pool without shooting it to waste, not the case with these. I watched as I vacuumed, all of the smaller debris shoot back into the pool.In the pictures you can see, after I vacuumed, all of the debris that settled to the bottom. I believe these filter balls can only filter out down to 100 microns.90 dollars later, I swapped back to glass sand, and couldn't be happier. Glass sand is slightly more expensive, but will filter down to 10micro meters of debris and makes your pool crystal clean.In the end, I cannot recommend this poly filter media.
