Bought this because of the heavy duty latch, but it wouldn't fit my mailbox. Gave it a high score because the latch.

This was really easy to install and provides peace of mind as you move into a new home or have a tenant move out. You do need to be able to unlock the old mechanism first to uninstall the old one. Takes maybe 5-10 minutes to change it.Check the size hole of your existing lock, is this one might be too big or small.

This lock is a good replacement for the original lock on the mailbox.The locking plate is very, very beefy.(Side note: Sadly, I wasn't able to find the actual USPS specification and drawing for these. Everyone mentions the spec and drawing but the Post Office doesn't seem to be online enough to have it in an archive somewhere...)
