I got this to replace an older transformer since I upgraded my doorbell from an old-fashioned chime style one to a smart video doorbell, which required a higher voltage. Thankfully that transformer was also a plug in, so it was a simple wiring job, and it instantly worked, very happy with the product!

My doorbell has stopped working for a while. Turned out that I had a bad transformer. The old transformer just died silently. I wasn't aware until I measured the output (there is no ouput). I ordered this one and it came fast. I like it that this transformer has an outer shell, instead of exposed like my old one - I am always a bit nervous when working with the exposed type. Connecting this to power is as simple as plug it in. It also has an indicator light as soon as connected to power.

Blink is an Amazon product. Blink Doorbell cameras have a very specific transformer rating which is what this product supposedly matches. Went through the frustrating process of trying to make this work... it did not work. Returning. You would think Amazon would check out these transformers and assure they work with the blink products. Update: I removed the Blink camera doorbell and reconnected my doorbell with this transformer... it did not work. Hooked the doorbell back up to the original transformer and everything is fine. It works as before. Spent two days trying to make this work. It took 30+ seconds for the image to appear on my phone after the Blink doorbell was rung.

I needed this to replace my broken plug-in doorbell transformer so I could install a Tapo TP-Link video doorbell camera. Easy to connect to the doorbell wiring. The screw on top was in the way of plugging in and at first I couldn't unscrew it. Fortunately my neighbor showed me that by putting a little pressure on the rubber gasket around the screw that the screw would then come off. Now my new doorbell camera works well.
