Could not get the printer to recognize the memory, so I gave up and threw it out

I think the other guy that reviewed maybe encountered a scenario with an HP Laserjet 6P/6MP where all the printers lights stay on for about 45 seconds before it goes into its startup sequence. The printer has more memory to check, so when you install more, it will take longer to boot. This is normal, just give your printer a minute to power up! I have had great results with my 6MP, definitely recommend if you have one of these printers still.
