This is like I expected except that the mattock side (the blade) is narrower than I expected and narrower than the one our family had when I was a kid. I expected it to be a 1/2 inch to an inch wider. It is sturdy and will get the job done. I looks like it will last many years. The pick side breaks up harder ground and the mattock mside takes a wider swath of softer ground. I will use it for planting a vegetable garden. My 5 rating for "Light weight" above is because I like the weight. If it were lighter that would be bad. Whoever set up this survey is biased towards a lighter weight which would be bad. It needs enough weight to cut into the soil. It has that weight which is good.
