Got weeds?Not after you whack them with this.This thing is green. The weeds will not be...It arrived disassembled, of course, but that was no problem at all.I just jammed the head onto the handle, stood on the prongs, and pulled the handle upward, with a slight twist toward each end of the head. Done.I've been using this thing for weeks out in the veggie garden, and on weeds in the xeriscape, and have moved both gravel and rock in the xeriscape too.When I amended my garden soil this spring, I hand-tilled my entire 20'x5' veggie garden down to the depth of the pick and blade, maybe 5 inches deep. Broke every.Single.clay-clod with this mattock.Built seed mounds, and drainage channels afterward.If this mattock had a mind of its own, it would not even *think* about loosening up from the handle.

I use this thing for everything!Light weight, easy to swing and goes into even hardpack with ease.Once the head is firmly placed (hit the top of the handle on the ground a few times) it is rock solid.

This is a great tool! Works wonders at getting to deep roots in rocky soil. I use it regularly and it’s my go-to weeding tool that is always a success. I bought a second one in case I can get a helper to work along side me to get twice as much done.The only drawback is the hole on the end of the handle as it is prone to rub on hand and leave blister. I wear good garden gloves but sometimes it still rubs after lots of heavy weeding. Wish they would eliminate the hole on handle.

Buena herramienta, ligera por el mango y de buen tamaño.Me dedico a buscar/rescatar objetos antiguos con el detector de metales y la actividad de caminar, mover el brazo para detectar, escarbar, recuperar y volver a tapar el hueco cansa al hacerlo decenas de veces, igual es cansado por lo que llevo en la mochila, por lo que una herramienta asà ligera por el mango pero fuerte para escarbar es de gran ayuda, aparte se puede armar y desarmar.Recién la he usado y me ha gustado lo fácil que es escarbar y no cansa como mi anterior piqueta/martelina que era toda de metal.Lo único malo es que no viene bien templada, porque al hacer palanca sobre alguna piedra de 1kg incrustada en la tierra ya se doblo la punta.Por el precio en que la compre de promoción y la ligereza vale la pena, ahora ya ha subido de precio.

This is a miner's axe, not a pickaxe. Because of its small size it is not useful for general use. The price is not right neither. I can buy a full size pickaxe for about $30 at local hardware store.
