After so long that we couldn't play our 400CD player, it was so simple to replaced the drive belts, and that solved our problem, we are now enjoying our music again, I may order me another set of drive belts so I can have a spare set.Thank you so much.

Be careful not to stretch the bands too much. A long pair of tweezers may help to get the bands in the right position. This is a very simple project.

The disc holder just spun abound with no resistance. But i could hear a motor running. Pulled the case off and saw the disc holder drive belt broken. Found the parts in a matter of minutes. Easy to install.

Very poor quality and supposed to get 2 drive belts and 1 door belt which equals 3. Only got 2 and don't think they (drive belts) should snap when installed. Very very unhappy with product as is my customer.

You can replace these belts without taking a crap ton of this machine apart. But I think it's easier to take a crap ton of the machine apart to be honest And also give it a thorough clean and Lube while you're in there.

My Sony Mega CD player suddenly stop playing and had error across the display. After researching it appeared to be the rubber bands on the motor. I was reluctant to do surgery on the player, but didn't have the funds to put it in the shop. Watched the procedure 5 times on Youtube before starting and was glad I decided to do it. The bands fit perfectly, and the player sounds as good as it did when I took it out of the box. If this is the problem with your player I recommend trying this yourself.
