So far, I am quite pleased with this. It works well with and fits in with my kludged-together Amazon stereo components. I think the its other use-case would be using it solely to listen to CDs with headphones, like at a desk - that's not what I'm using it for but I suspect it would be great there.Some pros:- Sounds good / does its job- Seems reasonably well constructed - tray-less loading mechanism seems solid (time will tell)- Comes with a remote- Compact size / fits on my shelf vertically- Clear and bright info display (albeit a small one)- Coaxial, RCA, optical, and headphone outputs- Not as ugly in person as the photos on Amazon suggest- $105 USD purchase price (01/2025) seems right on target for item - get something better if the price goes up; snap it up under $100Some cons:- Must buy power supply separately- Headphone jack in back of unit- Very long shipping times from China - ordered in January, arrived in March. at one point seller offered to cancel due to being unable to fulfill the order, and "marked it shipped" to game Amazon despite not shipping it out. However, once it was shipped it arrived timely within a week or two.

Excellent product. Well built, great sound.There was difficulty with the shipping initially. The first package was lost somewhere and had to be replaced.

I've had many cd players over the years and I must say that this one is as good as any I've had. An amazing value for a very respectable cd transport. I am plying it through my WiiM Ultra connected to a Gustard reclocker and a Gustard dac and finally a class A power amp to my Elac speakers. Very nice sound! I am well pleased with this cd transport and would highly recommend it especially considering the price!!!

This does not support gapless playback. Search model number and “gapless†to see a video showing Dark Side of the Moon with a gap on ‘tube. As someone with a lot of CDs from live shows and classic albums, this is a huge bummer. Hope they come out with a firmware fix.

So far, so good. Looks are OK at best... but it's usually kind of dark where I keep it, so whatever. It seems to be built like a truck; it's heavy. Sounds good, but eh... it's playing a CD...Most importantly, I had to get a 5V 3A power supply. 5V 2A worked intermittently.

Well i ordered it January 7th. Took for ever for Amazon and the Chinese shipper to believe it was lost... they sure could not track it.. near the end of February they shipped it again... arrived yesterday!!! It looks and feels great... seems to work very well with one day of use. It is smal but very substantial! Don't forget you need to have the right plug for power ... it does not come with one. 5/2.4 works. I think it looks cool... picture attached. Now let's hope it holds up... I have CD players around here working well more than 20 years after buying them... actually more like 30! Fingers crossed.

It’s not the best looking but it works like one of the better ones. Definitely great value. Excellent when I paired it with a DAC.

Number one: make sure you have a decent regulated power supply.This CD player has bags of detail and dynamics with its built in DAC but I have experimented with other DACs - all SMSL DACs costing more than this CD player. The built in DAC is surprisingly good - in fact good enough unless you're system is a super high revealing audiophile set-up in which case a high end DAC and using this player purely as a transport will reap further benefits.Build quality is extremely good for the price. The case feels like solid. aluminium with a small but very clear readout. Headphone out sound quality is very useable but used as a CD player or transport is where (for me) this unit shines.

Brilliant CD player I bought for the inbuilt DAC. Testing it now with different Amps. BUT the buttons are not back lit which make it difficult to see and the button lay-out is non standard. But for the price great. Really small device!

I am delighted with this player. There are YouTube reviews that claim that this unit does not support gapless playback. This is nonsense. As long as a gapless album is played from start to finish, as it should be, it will play gaplessly. I love it's sound and it's compact form factor, as my other components are not full size.I would highly recommend this unit.
