This was exactly what we needed to replace the bulb in our heat lamp for our baby chicks. It fit well in the heat lamp we already had and provided the perfect amount of heat to keep our chicks healthy and happy during the colder winter/spring days. I appreciate that this does the job well but is also reasonably priced. I would recommend this to anyone looking to raise baby chicks successfully.

I bought them for a storage compartment in my unheated garage. They are too hot for me to use in such a small space, but I will keep them. I would buy again if I needed them

Ive had this in use for 5 months now with the lamp on 24/7 in a 4x4x6 chicken coop. the lower wattage saves electricity and is plenty warm enough.

These inexpensive, incandescent heat lamps are suitable for use in any American house or 99.9% of businesses. The bulbs are case hardened, but do not begin to qualify as explosion-proof, and cannot be used in locations subject to flammable vapors. I doubt that they can be used under water.This paragraph is written a year later. One bulb burned out too early, but the second bulb is doing fine. This is typixal of incandesent filaments. I am reordering to be on the save side.

I purchased these to use to keep newly hatched chicks warm. I inspected the bulbs upon arrival and they were intact. When I took them out of the box to use them, I found one filament was broken. The glass is very thin and the margins of the the paint are sloppy and irregular. One of the two bulbs worked, but it puts out an odd color...more amber than red. It does not put out as much heat as the other heavier red bulbs I have. I don't trust these. My bargain buy backfired on me!

I had purchased a different bulb in the past that was huge. This light is a nice size. It gives off a enormous amount of light and heat. It's very well made of quality parts. I believe this bulb will last a very long time. I feel it's a great deal for the money.

Love these lights. We keep them in the bathroom so getting out of the shower isn't such a temp shock. Love thats its clear instead of the traditional red
