This a GREAT magnifier. I really like it. The built-in light is SUPER HELPFUL. The optical quality as far as I can tell is VERY good. However I don't believe it is 40x magnification. The "40" is probably correct, but not the magnification..... rather a description of the lens itself.... 40x25mm. I wouldn't discount it because of this. Take it for what it is. A VERY good magnifying loop with a light that is super helpful. I definitely recommend it. I can see very small detail with it and will be using it a lot.

The case it come with is pretty garbage not gonna lie but the magnifying loop itself is actually very nice. Very good weight to it and works great. I will be using it to authenticate playing cards and after testing it out on some real and known fakes it works great.

We love the attached light, I never would have realized how much that would make a difference but it really does. It works well and feels well made, if we ever need another we will get more from here.

My knifes are sharper now because of this little guy. The plastic housing for the one of the lopes was badly broken. Not a big deal for me as it just sits in my sharping kit anyways. I love that its all metal and feels sturdy. I wish the battery cover would work with a flat head screwdriver or a dime to open it as I think that key will just get lost.

I needed this to be able to see what jewelry of my mothers is gold or silver. The light was much needed and I’m so glad I bought this one. If you need a jewelry loop this is the one.

Purchased this 40X lighted loop. Works ok, but you are only 1/2" away from the object being viewed. That was too close for me to view bumps on the skin of my dog. Couldn't see anything but the hair on her skin, not the bump at all. Very dissatisfied with purchase. Now will cost me 2X what loop is worth to send back. Better to buy from Amazon direct and not a third party.
