When the carboy is full of red wine, it can be a little unnerving to trust a net, but this carrier is very strong. It could be with a little design adjustment, the carrier would also accommodate a bubbler on top of the carboy, as this was the only inconvenience. Perhaps just another 4-6” would make all the difference.

Make moving the carboys a lot easier, even when full.

Although they work well, I found them a bit too small on length. When just lifting, or two-person lifting, they work fine. They are too short to grasp together over the top of the carboy. I've found that irritating several times already. No way to keep them from falling to the ground as soon as you let go. Adding more length with a second set of handles higher up would have been nice. Still, I get a lot of use out of them.

Huge carboys are a horrifying nuisance. I've been using the metal handles to good effect, but it always felt kind of off center and worrisome; I still use the handles for cleaning, as they make me less likely to slip when cleaning a heavy wet carboy. For everything else though, these are the best. They make it easy to carry a carboy safely for yourself, and without too much sloshing (thus keeping trub in the bottom of the carboy where it belongs). Best Carboy related purchase I've made, highly recommend.

These make handling a full carboy much easier. i am always leery of handling a full carboy on my own, but this made it much easier. it is especially helpful when i have to lift a full carboy up into the back seat of my truck. i actually thread the seat belt around, and secure it. When i am lucky enough to be able to destem/juice my grapes in the vineyard, the last thing i want to do is drop that precious juice!! My fellow wine makers were jealous, so i bought these as Christmas presents for them.

The headline says it all. However, as I am getting older I am thinking about downsizing my operation to standardize on 3 gallon carboys. This does exactly as it's intended which is to make carrying bigger full carboys safer and easier.

Just a noobi mead and beer maker and started with a 3 gallon carboy. I guess I am not as strong as I used to be but I need something to hold the carboy when I take it out from under the sink. I finally got it under my full and filled carboy BUT item just falls back on bottom of the carboy. So each time I need to to access the carboy, it is like putting a pajama on it.MY suggestion is that they need to attached an extra string around it that we can lock it up on the neck bottle. LIKE A DRAW STRING around it to keep the carrier from going down all the time!!!! I GUESS I have it to rigged it that way so the carrier is easier to handle.
