I used this bit to make 4 cuts and on the 5th the bearings fell off. It was working great for the first four. Then just went to use it to make a cut that I could get by without the bearings and the bit snapped off. It was the first time I've ever had that happen with a router bit.

Used it a lot over the course of 60 sheets of 1/4 INCH plywood, I had purchased 4 or 5 of them and they did amazing work. Down spiral equals no chips on top. And the double bearing saved the wood from getting too indented. It's a little flexible...but what can you expect from a 14 inch drill bit. Super sharp. Make sure to tighten collet securely or it can push into the router.

I have had no problems with this bit. It is the most expensive bit I have ever bought, but I made routing with a template so much better. I know that there are higher quality bits at higher prices, but this is a nice middle ground if you are using it for occasional use.I would not want to use this bit if I was trimming anything more than a few mm of material, the fact that it is 1/4inch bit means that it is not going to stand up to brutal us. However using big tools to get close to the cut line, and then finishing of with this bit, works well and I was able to made many parts identical with the use of a template.
